Pies and Sides - Mount Holly

Hey Y’all! That’s a good pie!
Just got to enjoy the hey y’all pie from pies & sides for the first time with my wife. It tastes so nostalgic. Would definitely buy and enjoy this pie again.

Side note:
Did this guy really buy a Deep South tomato pie that clearly has pimento cheese in the ingredients and then have the audacity to say that it was greasy…. I look forward to trying the Deep South tomato pie.

I purchased a chicken pie, made by Pies and Sides, from The Peach Stand in Fort Mill. It was so delicious and the I will definitely purchase this again and look forward to trying their other pies!

She is a horrible, horrible human being!!!!

We picked up a deep dish tomato pie from an outlet. It was not edible. The ingredients were different than stated. The top never became crunchy, nor was there a creamy cheese sauce on top, there was some grated cheddar cheese that would not melt. During the uncovered phase of cooking the pie popped continuously and blew oil all over the oven, very messy. We added nothing to it. You could pick up the toppings and squeeze the oil out if it. I have a picture of the pan it sat on overnight, I guess we punched a hole in the pan, there is a tremendous amount of oil on the pan and this is after we cleaned it up once. And our oven was covered in oil. Don’t know the story but something’s wrong here. It tasted l like oily mush. I called twice during business hours and sent and email, no answer or reply.

Grab & Go freezer pie reviewGive or take wasn't impressed. I bought a few things. Doubles in certain items because I like to see consistency and this failed. The potato/hash brown casserole, I bought and it tasted like straight sour cream, garlic. Very strong no potatoes taste. The second one tasted different, like no sour cream but was dry..Chicken pot pie, I bought one and ok, lacking gravy. When you first cook it, it looks good but after it cools enough it can use more gravy. My second one, same way but like such few vegetables? Very confused on how you mess up a chicken pot pie. Lastly, buffalo mac and Cheese. One had a lot of cheese, nice spice but lacking chicken and the other one had enlarged over cooked noodles, no cheese, dry and disappointing. Overall, definitely needs consistency help, since all my pies were opposites of each other. Flavor needs work and overall quality needs help. Unsure if there's a rush to get pies out but wont be buying again. Probably gonna stick to making them myself.

Now knows as Pies & Sides, we were waiting to get an opportunity to grab some pies as they have limited hours. I grabbed the meat pies and I have to say I am not sorry, they’re delicious. When I was in there the girl that checked me out was very friendly and told me that they will be open later on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings for take out only. I am definitely looking forward to that!

I ordered meatloaf mashed potatoes and an apple pie for my husband's birthday dinner and it was delicious

The chicken pie and Shepherds pie was delicious and the staff and owner was very friendly. We will be coming back for sure!
