They say the small hole in the wall restaurants are usually the best, definitely true here.

Cute restaurant in downtown Mount Pleasant NC. We could smell the BBQ from outside. Our mouths started watering when we walked inside. Had the brisket sandwich and hush puppies. Brisket was excellent with a nice crust all around. Hush puppies were big, cooked to perfection and so tasty. The fries were good too. We don’t know this great local place was here, but it’s worth the very short drive off Hwy49.

Ribs, BBQ and Burnt ends were very excellent . Fried corn on the cob and sweet potato fries were excellent. Service was excellent.

Service was slack, 3 other tables came in after us but got thier food before us. when we pointed it out they apologised and gave us free banana pudding. Barbq was average. Cheeze steak was good

We have always enjoyed ordering from the Smokehouse. This Saturday evening we placed a to go order. My Club Sandwich appeared to have been put together by a child. My fries appeared to be the little burned hard pieces left from cooking throughout the day. The mac & cheese was so spicy with something that my grandson couldn't eat it. Very disappointed!

Not many places you can pig out as a couple for under 40 bucks. Ribs were excellent and well as all the sides. The fried corn and the onion rings were top notch. Great staff and plenty of room.

Came in for early dinner on a Saturday at around 5. We were seated without a wait. Our waitress came over right away and took our drink order and offered us several suggestions about menu items. She was very friendly and attentive for our entire meal. Wife had the brisket sandwich with hush puppies as a side and I had the wings. Everything was served hot, quickly and tasted great. Hush puppies were some of the best we have had. They offer a good selection of can beer and wine. Restaurant, including restrooms were clean. Over all was a pleasant meal and we would eat here again if in the area.

Rack of rib plate and a pulled pork plate. Picked it up and ate at the house. We got the ribs with no sauce, just the dry rub. My wife and I made our own buffet out of the two plates. Wow what a great meal.And the staff was friendly and helpful. Sorry, no picture, it was just so good.Thank you.
