Southern Grace Distilleries

We were visiting the area and some friends told us about this place. Even though we are not big bourbon drinks, the tour and tasting were a lot of fun and informative. Ben was our tour guide and he did a wonderful job. We enjoyed learning about their products and tasting them (some more than others, not being bourbon or corn whiskey drinkers). We bought three bottles and they shared some recipes with us. It is definitely worth the time and the money! Again, thank you Ben!

Amazing and friendly staff with a high degree of knowledge in their offerrings and history of the distillery. Great local distillery that offers premium bourbon selection that you can try and purchase in their gift shop. Whiskey and bourbon enthusiasts will appreciate their unique blend of 88% corn and 12% malted barley mashbill. Come and visit Thomas, Sebastian, Emily, Virginia, Zak, Benny, etc.

This distillery was awesome and super chill. Virginia was super sweet and friendly. Our tour guide Ben was fantastic! Highly recommend going during the week as it was pretty quiet and the tour felt very personalized. Great bourbon tasting afterwards.

Prison tour is awesome! The bourbon and the drinks were great as well. Highly recommend you give this place a try if you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed!

The Private Barrel Tasting was unbelievable. Thomas took nearly 2 hours with us talking about and tasting the entire line of SGD whiskey. It's an amazing place with an amazing history and AMAZING staff. Oh, and the bourbon is phenomenal!!

This brewery is my favorite and the bourbon is my opinion the best I've tasted. My and my wife come here more and more lately.

A must stop! Unassuming, former prison making great pot stilled bourbon in small batches. Stop in for a quick tour with a fantastic, informative guide and a tasting that rivals some of the best Kentucky has to offer. Who knew we'd find some great bourbon here. Be warned, you'll want to buy a bottle or 6 to take home with you.

From the moment we arrived, his energy was infectious—friendly, enthusiastic, and he is clearly passionate about what he does. Zak struck the perfect balance between entertaining and informative, sharing detailed knowledge about the distillation process, the history of the distillery, the history of the prison, and the unique flavors of each spirit we tasted.

He made everyone feel welcome, answered all our questions with ease, and added a personal touch that really elevated the experience. If you're thinking about taking the tour, I highly recommend it. We will for sure be back to visit!

Great small craft distillery with an unique story and good bourbon as well.

Ben and Kerry were amazing! If you are a Bourbon lover and enjoy being around amazing folks this is a must. The quality of the Bourbon is top shelf and will blow you away. Put this place on your list you will not regret it.

Truly an incredible bourbon distillery and worth the visit! We booked a tour and Thomas went above and beyond teaching us about their distilling process and guiding us through an amazing tasting. Their bourbon is world class and blew us away. We will be back soon!

We paid for a night tour a few few years ago and the the tour itself was good, the tour guide seemed to have a routine though and it seemed a bit staged at times. I had some cool personal experience lbs though. We were told we would get camera and video footage from that night and never heard back from anyone. I emailed a couple times and was told I would have someone reply to me but never heard back. The tasting was good though.
