We had an incredible time on our distillery tour, thanks to our amazing guide, Zak! From the moment we arrived, his energy was infectious—friendly, enthusiastic, and he is clearly passionate about what he does. Zak struck the perfect balance between entertaining and informative, sharing detailed knowledge about the distillation process, the history of the distillery, the history of the prison, and the unique flavors of each spirit we tasted.

He made everyone feel welcome, answered all our questions with ease, and added a personal touch that really elevated the experience. If you're thinking about taking the tour, I highly recommend it. We will for sure be back to visit!

Great small craft distillery with an unique story and good bourbon as well.

Ben and Kerry were amazing! If you are a Bourbon lover and enjoy being around amazing folks this is a must. The quality of the Bourbon is top shelf and will blow you away. Put this place on your list you will not regret it.

Truly an incredible bourbon distillery and worth the visit! We booked a tour and Thomas went above and beyond teaching us about their distilling process and guiding us through an amazing tasting. Their bourbon is world class and blew us away. We will be back soon!

We paid for a night tour a few few years ago and the the tour itself was good, the tour guide seemed to have a routine though and it seemed a bit staged at times. I had some cool personal experience lbs though. We were told we would get camera and video footage from that night and never heard back from anyone. I emailed a couple times and was told I would have someone reply to me but never heard back. The tasting was good though.

Excellent tour given by Ben. Very personable and made the tour outstanding. This is a fun property to visit not only for the bourbon but also the history of the prison. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience at Southern Grace Distillery! The tour was fantastic, and our guide, Zack, did an exceptional job. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience both fun and educational. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the distillery, the distillation process, and the unique setting inside a former prison. The attention to detail and passion for craft spirits really stood out. The tasting at the end was a great way to experience the quality of their bourbon and whiskey firsthand. Highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in great spirits and local history.

Great bourbon, really interesting history. Can't wait to come back. Shout out to Virginia for taking the time to walk me through the basics of bourbon and the history of the prison.

Phenomenal craft barbouns, one of the best barbouns I drunk. Conviction is a wonderful, smaller distillery - worth visiting and buying.

Stopped by for a tour on our Christmas vacation. I don’t recall the gentleman’s name but he did an awesome job leading the tour and telling the history of the distillery and prison. The taste testing at the end was really fun. I tried the Sun Dog 130 proof also, that was some smooth stuff. Got my souvenir! Great Experience and when we’re back in South Carolina we’ll be coming back!

The history of this place is very interesting as it used to be an old prison. The tour guide I had was very knowledgeable and friendly. They do regular daytime tours or nighttime paranormal tours. I did the daytime tour but will definitely go back for the paranormal tour. The tasting at the end of the tour was nice. Their product is some of the best I've tasted. They also have a small gift shop and a bar. Well worth the fee for the tour and the money spent on drinks.

Awesome staff, cool nick-nacks, fantastic whiskey and bourbon. They have plenty of room to hang out and play board games while enjoying some shots, beer, cocktails, or even wine. The tour was very interesting and a clear representation of ancient techniques with plenty of southern charm!

Interesting little whiskey distillery with very friendly staff. The Behind the Bar tour is highly recommended.
