Really awesome local hangout! The coffee is great, the fudge is great and the small town family vibe makes it a perfect place to spend some time! Stop by, you won't regret it!
Good music! Great coffee drinks! Love the atmosphere and people!

The owners are rude and don't care about the customer or community only about the business. The music is way too loud and their selection of bands is not good. The beer to go is overpriced, not a very good selection from the local breweries. You are better off going to the actual local breweries to get a better atmosphere, service, and a better selection of brewery beer. Morris Farms has potter-johns but they have staff on-site cleaning after every person, NOT BLUE 42!!

The canned / bottled "local" beer is horribly over priced. We stopped by today after visiting the nearby Powells farm stand. I got two four packs of beer, cost, $53!. I bought it rather cause a scene at the counter but $25 + for a four pack. This place has Outer Banks tourist trap written all over it. The beer is nothing special as well.

Twenty miles down the road from Pale Horse Coffee we passed Blue 42’s. We weren’t planning to stop, but I saw “coffee” on the sign and excitedly said, “You should stop the car Chachi I see coffee”. Then my oldest said, “And there’s shaved ice.” My sweet hubby turned the car around.
Blue 42’s is next door to a farmer’s market with delicious looking dessert items, fruits, vegetables, snacks and drinks. My kiddos enjoyed the stop.
I felt like living on the wild side so I ordered a drink I don’t normally have; a blended ice coffee. Honestly, I think it’s more of a dessert. The mocha chip was quite the treat and since I was living on the wild side I said yesterday to the whip cream.
Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

The fudge is to open, it need to be locked up. Or they going to get somebody sick. I seen too many flies chilling on top of the fudge. I still got some but I didn't eat it, I warned my friend hopefully they don't get sick.

Used to come here for my daily coffee. Stopped because...almost $9 for a caramel macchiato that's mediocre??? Charging by the pump...never seen anything so ridiculous. Make the treck to Kraken or Moyock Farm Market. So much more worth it.
I like this place but have found that coffee quality is pretty inconsistent. I got this “iced coffee” today and immediately went to Dunkin after. Want to support a local business but it’s hard to do when this happens repeatedly

Not a great all around stop, they only have a locked women’s bathroom and the prices are outrageous.
Great place to hangout after a long day of work. The live music and local food trucks are amazing. Everyone is so friendly and we’re very knowledgeable about the different beers they have on tap. Definitely recommend on stoping by and grabbing a cup of coffee on your way to the beach!

Appalled at the service here..Blonde employee in a Powells shirt (Danelle). I have never been treated so rude at a business. The fudge is exposed to anyone, and it’s at child level. As we were choosing our flavor, my 3 year old touched the exposed fudge from the customer side. There is a one inch gap on the bottom of the glass, and the lady rudely showed us how he licked his fingers, then she continued to cut a large chunk of the fudge he touched and handed it to us with a $10 price on it, saying you can pay over there.. I paid for it and trashed it, because they obviously need the business. Who wants fudge that sits out and can be touched by anyone? Is the fudge security on duty 24/7? When I questioned why the gap was there, and why there wasn’t a sign or why wasn’t it covered? She told me I NEED TO WATCH MY KIDS… I was with my child when it happened. This is after I had just purchased food and drinks, and had to *CLEAN MY OWN TABLE SO WE COULD SIT DOWN* Who knows how many others touched the exposed food before us? When I questioned if it happened before, she arrogantly said YES, pointing to how ‘the last lady’ had to buy the whole front row. So if the gap is there low enough for toddlers, and this apparently happens often, why not protect the food you’re serving OR at least hang a sign or curtain? People walking by it, a table in arms reach…The bands that play here and the waitresses can do 100x better. It’s sad when even the locals that live nearby are treated this way..

Rude to customers. Food is too expensive and does not taste good. The bathroom is disgusting! I will never go to this restaurant again!
