Truly unprofessional place. I came in with 5 people, looking forward to great ambiance and seafood. I did not expect to be treated like an unwelcomed guest. We came based on the notion that this establishment prides itself on service and hospitality but we walked in, were seen by 2 employees who passed us and neither greeted us after waiting 5 min at the door. When someone finally spoke they didn't say hello, he just asked how many were in our party. Then proceeded to just have a conversation with the cashier while our party just stood at the door. Not wanting to see this as a race than however with being the only people in the restaurant with melanin it just seemed weird.

We had a large group and a reservation. They had our food to us all in a timely manner and it was very good. The waitstaff was excellent.

This is my Sunday Lunch standard. They have a regular lunch special menu, always the same thing, and always somewhat less expensive than the same meal at other times. I Always get the porkchop, grilled, not fried. Just my thing.

It's a small town restaurant, solid choices and in my experience consistent quality.

The service was incredible, and the waitress made it a pleasant experience. The hush puppies and the gumbo were quite good, but my tuna bites were overcooked.

So tonight we visited John’s Seafood and Steak. First the service was non existent. We sat down and it took an over a hour for the food to get there. Some of the food was ok but the steamed shrimp had sat too long and it was almost impossible to peel. The stuffed flounder was undercooked. I ended up getting up to get more sweet tea since our waitress apparently was busy doing something else and only came around after I was seen getting more tea.It used to be a great place to eat but the last two trips have been mediocre at best.
