First thing, get this straight. Kurbside Kitchen (Kurbside Bar & Grill) in Murfreesboro, NC actually WAS Walter's Grill since 1944 until just last year.Walter, born the year that the Titanic sank, ran the grill, until he was robbed and shot there in 1975. His wife Janet, carried on the restaurant until it was sold to Billy Theodorakos. Recently Chris Owens bought the restaurant changing the name. Now to the food.For the traditionalists, there is the original side...
Walter's Grill has been a Murfreesboro institution since the 1940s. It is known for its awesome hot dog chili, which is meaty, delicious, and unique. The history of the town is literally carved into the booths and posted on the walls.
Great homemade chicken salad! Staff was friendly and proud of the history of the grill. Famous hotdogs were recommended by the customers. Variety of items are on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highly recommend! Mr. Bill the 30yr owner has it up for sale for $250k for someone looking a small business with deep roots.
