Food is always very good here. A very good salad bar. But they start removing the salad bar at 1:30 P.M. Closing at 2:00 P.M.

Larger cafe with lots of seating. Good atmosphere. Full of books. Food portions were large and food was perfect. Best breakfast I've ever had out.

Undoubtedly the best thin-cut ribeye I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a LOT of ribeyes of all sizes). Very decent salad bar. The chicken salad and steamed vegetables could use some work, and they should really add wine & beer to the menu, but that’s neither here nor there. Not only were the ribeyes excellent, but the service and atmosphere were among the best (if not the best) I’ve ever experienced. Someone anonymously paid for my little family’s meal, which blew me away, and the staff gave my young daughter chocolates for Valentine’s Day. My day was made in a much-needed way that I can’t express or explain here… things have been tough lately, but I wasn’t going to go a Valentine’s Day without celebrating with my girls, and God blessed me through the people at Nashville Exchange for taking them out to have lunch there. This place is an absolute gem.

I had the cold plate sampler. Their chicken and tuna salad is homemade. Highly recommend when you are in the area. Our waitress was awesome.

Love this restaurant. I wish the hours were better for my schedule as they are very limited to early morning and lunch .I don’t get out of work in the afternoon to make it by their 2:00 pm closing time and I have to leave for work before their 7:30am opening time. However, when I am off work or lucky enough to go in late this is the place to be.The staff is welcoming and helpful. The books are awesome!! Bring some and share or just take it is amazing if you love food and reading a wonderful generous place to unwind and meet new friends.

My family visited on June 11 after finalizing our sister’s funeral arrangements at the Cornerstone Funeral Home. This is by far the absolute best food we have had in a restaurant! Most of us had the ribeye steak sandwich, chicken salad on a croissant roll. Oh and let’s not forget the coconut cream cake which was to die for!!! I didn’t get our waitresses name, very small and petite young lady!!! She was AWESOME! We will definitely be back!

Southern hospitality in a nut shell. I got the book club, coleslaw, and fried green tomatoes. Never had FGT before so this was a first time for me. I’m a fan now ❤️. I’m very thankful for their books as well! My fave book the great Gatsby was sitting right on the book shelf waiting for me to open it ?. Great experience food was also great. See you guys soon !

We just happened upon this quaint little restaurant and so glad we did! The atmosphere is very charming and gives off small town Main Street vibes; love it! Inside was surrounded by books and I’m assuming one could stop on in, grab a bite and relax while reading one of the books. Our waitress was very sweet and very helpful (I didn’t catch her name but she said she normally works the lunch hour). She was very sweet to offer my son anything he wanted as it was about 10:30am he was a little hangry.I had the French toast platter and my son (3) actually ate the French toast; which is amazing because he’s extremely picky! My husband had the Exchange Breakfast platter and ate most of it (it’s a good portion of food!)The food was delicious and the service was top-notch ♥️

Had been here a couple times and was happy with it. The last time Saturday the 18th about 1230 which was my birthday, we went in , sat in the window area. We watched 3 parties come in after us getting waited on. My wife tried to get the waitresses attention as we had to have been there at least 10 minutes and no greeting , acknowledgement, nothing. When the waitress came over we ordered right away and boy was she irritated. No eye contact , we were just an imposition. Will give this place a long rest . You need to hire someone. Quit using the short on help excuse.

Stopped by earlier this afternoon for the first time in at least 6 years. I hate that I haven't stopped by more often in that amount of time. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and timeless.Parking: Nashville has plenty of public parking. If you are unable to find an on-street parking spot in front of the business, you may have to walk a bit, but the trip is well worth it.
