Today was our first trip to Newland. We were looking for coffee and found Big Mike’s. The shop was so cozy and the staff were excellent! As for the coffee… We got our coffee and left. I got to the car, tasted my coffee and was perplexed. My order was specific, and when I tasted it, I was sure they got it wrong. I went back inside and verified it was sugar free. Y’all. It was delicious! The best cup of coffee I’ve had in recent memory. We will definitely be back!

Was passing thru Newland and was looking forward to a cup of coffee from a coffee shop I spotted while running my errands. When I was done I wondered back to the coffee shop and they were “Closed today” (said a piece of paper scotch taped to the door) since I was set on having that cup of coffee I started looking and found Big Mikes! Now I’m very glad that other place was closed!! I’ll be back!!

Kiosk was off when I pulled up. Strange arrangement. Inside an RV park. Hopefully it turns out OK but w no menu (scratching head).

Best Coffee I’ve ever had. Lightyears ahead of that Starbucks junk. They also have the most delicious brownie sundaes and cinnamon rolls!
We come here very often and even came for the 4th of July to celebrate! It’s only fitting that Big Mike’s would put on a BIG fireworks display! The staff is incredibly friendly and the interior of the shop is very cozy and clean.

HOWEVER, the cashier when pressed on the issue about "Where is Big Mike?" was extremely weary of disclosing his location. This has led us to believe there is more to the Big Mike story than they are telling us.
