This is exactly what your your looking for in a home cooked BBQ establishment. The look and feel completely sets it apart from other similar restaurants. The food was absolutely amazing and I will be back to try something different. I highly recommend Carolina BBQ.

Update August 2025: Party of 3 we had pork sandwich with coleslaw and 1 side (cheese curds with an up-charge, worth it), fried chicken fingers with tater tots and BBQ smoked chicken (breast & wing)baked beans, hushpuppies and potato salad (too much mustard for us). Loved everything but the potato salad. One of our favorite places to eat. Highly recommend.
There BACK open after Helene. We are so blessed. Foods as delicious 😋 as ever. Our party of 3 had ribs, pork & smoked chicken combo, and many delicious sides. They are still working on the music stage inside.
I had the barbecue sandwich combo With Mac and cheese, sweet tea, and we also ordered fried pickles. Everything was good!

It felt like an undiscovered gem frequented mostly be local residents. $12 for a large pulled BBQ is amazing and makes for great least overs at home. I regret we don't live close!

Just went. Tried to order fish sandwich, they didn’t have it. Then thighs and leg they didn’t have any. Then wanted to order a burger, they didn’t have the onion rings, asked for something to replace them and they offered two fries because the burger comes with two onion rings!!! 4 girls around the register doing nothing and the floors and tables dirty.

How disgusting to order sweet tea and get unsweetened tea. And the internet has prices lower than what they charge when you get there.
Fried fish and shrimp is the worst I have ever had.

We have been making an effort to eat out more often this Summer to support the local restaurants.
Carolina BBQ has Fried Fish on their sign, so we stopped there 2 Friday’s ago to order their Fried Flounder Dinner & Fried Shrimp To Go.
The Shrimp was disgusting…tasted horrible and was chewier than shoe leather.
The Flounder was mushy on one sauce and over crispy on the other (so over crispy I thought I was gonna break a tooth). And the fish inside all the breading was paper thin.
The coleslaw looked old and was too sour.
The Hushpuppies were actually OK…I’m assuming they are a frozen product that isn’t made in house.
If we didn’t live over 20 minutes away I would’ve taken it back and demanded my money back. It all went in the trash!

My husband and I are from out of state and came here looking for a BBQ place that was not a chain. Carolina Barbeque is just that. It’s kind of dive place and we aren’t BBQ enthusiasts, so keeping those in mind we thought the food was pretty good. The young man taking our order was great. We ordered a pulled pork plate with fries, fried okra, and hush puppies as well as a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and potato salad. The pulled pork was good, especially with the sauce. The hush puppies were sweet and fluffy. The coleslaw was not very saucy and the potato salad was very saucy. The fries and fried okra were fine, but I’m not a good judge of fried okra. I thought everything was well priced. Overall we were satisfied with our meal.
