We hopped off of the Blue Ridge Parkway for lunch and immediately saw this gem. Sandwiches made to order were amazing. Snacks and memorabilia available for purchase. Amazing little roadside stop with a family feel. Easy parking. Very close to the Parkway (300 yards).
Interesting place—right off the BRP. VERY friendly people. Order at the counter and find a seat (outdoor seating available). Food was quite good for this type of restaurant. The homemade yeast roll buns are exceptionally yummy!
We arrived at 10:15 on a Thursday and ordered breakfast. The building is more of a mini-general store/souvenir shop that serves food. Several tables were inside and picnic tables outside. All breakfast is served in a sandwich with a variety of breads to choose from. Because everyone raved about the yeast rolls, that’s what we chose. There is a large selection to add in.
