We enjoyed trying a couple of their locally sourced brews on tap. The owners are terrific! Would recommend the smoked salmon appetizer, and the Mac and cheese. Nice atmosphere, outdoor seating and dog friendly. We will be back!

Food was great. It was open mic night, which was fun if you’re into that sort of thing. Anyone’s welcome to sign up, so mixed music styles every couple songs. Primarily the locals got up and played with a “no cover songs”’rule.

I recently visited the Mountain Boomer and was blown away by their pulled pork and mac and cheese. The pulled pork was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sauce. The mac and cheese was creamy, with a rich, cheesy goodness that complemented the pork beautifully. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and efficient. If you’re a fan of comfort food done right, this spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious yesterday. Smoked chicken, pulled pork, smoked Mac & cheese, apple bacon slaw and baked beans all slow smoked for hours each day! They have cookies by Stick Boy Bakery in Boone and the decor inside is really cool. There’s a bar with craft beer from 6 local breweries and wine as well. Definitely a great place to stop after hiking Linville Falls
