I stopped into Whistle Stop today while I was wasting some time before work. I am SO glad I did. The service was great! The lady working the counter was so nice, and her recommendation of the banana pudding couldn’t have been better! Was told this place has the best fried chicken on Tuesdays (it is one of the specials). Came later afternoon and both my husband and I ordered the fried chicken (him the white meat plate and myself the dark meat plate). Sides of fried okra, boiled potatoes for me and boiled potatoes and Mac and cheese for hubby. My chicken tasted delicious however both pieces were on the small side. Rachel’s Whistle Stop is our new go-to spot! The food is downright delicious — like comfort on a plate. Kid-friendly without feeling like a daycare (huge win), prices are fair, and the service is small-town friendly in the best way.
