My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times in the last few years. It was terrific then, but now not so much. Not sure what happened. The menu is so scaled back that nothing looked appealing. The only thing that was the same was the bartender! She is very sociable and on her game. Hope they get things worked out with the menu. As for a recommendation, I would say appetizer and drinks with the bartender! It is a Beautiful View!

If you’re looking for some kind of “Instagram resort” experience, this isn’t it — and thank goodness for that. Oceans Edge is exactly what an island restaurant should be: laid-back, unpretentious, and all about the view, the people, and the food they do serve.
The location is unbeatable — you’re literally looking out over the ocean while you eat. The seafood steamer here? Hands down the BEST on the island, and easily the best price. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and piled high. Locals know it’s a steal, and I almost hate telling people because I want to keep it to ourselves. Don’t even get me started on the chicken tenders. I know that sounds crazy but they’re the best the fried shrimp, amazing.
The bartender, Jenny, who’s also the manager, is a rock star. She’s friendly, quick, and somehow manages to make every guest feel like a regular. The staff works hard, and it shows.
Oceans Edge is the kind of place you relax, enjoy the view, and appreciate good, fresh seafood without the pretense or inflated “resort” markup. If you want a true small-island experience with great food and people who care, this is it.

My wife and I had dinner here tonight, and while my salad was fine, her meal was a complete disappointment. The flounder was mostly skin with very little actual meat, the coleslaw was limp and flavorless, and the corn on the cob tasted old and soggy — more like field corn past its prime than anything fresh or sweet.
When we brought this to the attention of the manager, “Mister Gregg,” we were met with an unapologetic, almost surly attitude. Rather than acknowledging the poor quality of the food or offering a sincere apology, he reluctantly took half off my wife's meal.
We dine out often, and we understand that mistakes happen, but the way they’re handled matters. In this case, the combination of subpar food and dismissive service made for a thoroughly unpleasant experience. Based on tonight’s visit, we will not be returning — and I’d advise others to think twice before spending their money here.

Had been coming here for a few years. Not sure what happened but the menu is scaled
back a lot. Food not bad - the firecracker shrimp is really good.

Not much for customer service. Called several times to make a reservation, as website said you can make one for group over 8 people. Showed up at the restaurant and they said they were closed for the day and said they don’t take reservations. When mentioning we called and left VM, they said they haven’t checked the phone in over a month.
When we arrived there was no hostess to be found at the desk. We waited for about 10 minutes until the hostess who was clearing off tables found us and told us to wait another 10 minutes. After being seated we were given menus which were a shock to us because they had gotten ridden of the old menu and the new menu had very few options. They were even out of food that was on their menu, though they weren’t even busy. We weren’t offered drinks by our server for 10+ minutes until the bartender who was very busy stepped away to bring our table water. After sitting there for many more minutes, we weren’t offered any service for food orders so we got up and left. Overall very disappointing experience compared to what it used to be and I would not recommend.

Had to pay 20% gratuity! and service sucked! Server obviously knew it. Loved it last time. Not a fan this time.

I'll start off by saying this place used to be great. We had come here a few years ago and the food was amazing. We were looking forward to returning because of the food and atmosphere. Some of the old highlights were broiled scallops, ahi tuna, crab dip, and some of the best/ most unique hush puppies we've ever had with kernels of corn inside. The ambience and clientele were beach fancy. Sadly all that remains of that experience is gone. Everything we had eaten a few years ago was cut from the current, extremely limited menu which now only consists of burgers, a chicken sandwich, a shrimp sandwich and a crab broil which others have already described as disappointingly limited for an outrageous price. Menu Sides included fries, cole slaw, red potatoes, corn, and broccoli. Kids menu only had three options, fried shrimp, chicken tenders?, and grilled cheese, so good luck to everyone being fussy eaters. Apps included spicy shrimp, pickle fries and maybe 1-2 other items. Overall underwhelming menu compared to every other bar or restaurant on the island or surrounding area. Similar but less food to the pirate bar around the corner.
When we enquired about crab dip and hush puppy apps we were told that there was a new owner, he changed the menu, and he can't figure out how to remove the old menu online. We probably should have left at that point...
We still gave it a shot, drinks were good but we were never offered a second. We were only given once cup of water for a table of five. Once we realized the food we were craving no longer existed we went with the basics on the menu, which in retrospect I'm glad we did because none of it was worth staying.
Food was just fine outside of not getting ketchup for fries and the sandwiches not having any condiments on them... Who wants a dry chicken or shrimp sandwich? Kids enjoyed their fried shrimp until they started throwing up 3 hours later, so that's my current situation while writing this review.
The most aggravating part (prior to the vomit) was having to ask our server, Leah, for ketchup, she never returned, and then having to ask both of her colleagues for mayo and ketchup after waiting at least 10 minutes. At no point were they even at a quarter capacity, each waiter handing 2 tables max at a time. The staff didn't even bother to remove the chairs from on top of most of the tables. This was in stark contrast to our last visit where there was a wait to be seated.
This location is and can be amazing, but clearly ownership have mismanaged both their menu and their staff. Looking forward to it being sold again, hopefully to someone who knows what they're doing.

Don’t bother going to the website as it’s full of outdated information. The menu doesn’t exist. I had already chosen what I wanted based off the website, only to arrive to an extremely limited menu with only like 4 options in each section, 4 entrees, 4 sides, etc. The website needs to be updated, or better yet, restaurant closed during reno until a full menu can be offered and the place is fixed up and presentable to customers. Areas were falling apart, windows dirty, and chairs and floor full of crumbs that hadn’t been swept up. The view is incredible and would be an awesome place if spiffed up and menu expanded.
Waitress Leah—did not tell us her name but got off receipt—had a big attitude problem and was very rude and condescending when asked about the inconsistency of menu & website. Left us for far too long, then when she finally came back and I ordered steak well-done, she actually laughed and said “Well done?” The RUDEST response I’ve ever gotten from anyone. She should not be waitressing. Also had to ask for refills since she didn’t keep up with it or notice on her own. Steak was not seasoned, so bland, no butter for corn, well below average meal.

Should be listed as private not open to public
Elevator was out. I climbed seven flights of stairs and could not get in the door for the restaurant . I live in the area and will not be back.
The elevator's are out of order. Can't get to the restaurant. If you have a public establishment might want to make sure things are working order.
⭐ 1 Star – Only because zero isn’t an option
I don’t even know where to begin, because everything about this experience was a disaster. From the moment we walked in, the service was indifferent at best and flat-out neglectful at worst.
We waited over an hour—yes, 60+ minutes—for our food, and no, the place wasn’t packed. During that time, we were barely acknowledged, and asking for an update felt like a personal offense to the staff.
When the food finally showed up (no apology, by the way), it was… atrocious. Bland, cold, poorly presented, and genuinely unpleasant to eat. It honestly tasted like they forgot we ordered and then threw something together as an afterthought.
Restaurants can have off days, but this wasn’t that—it felt like this place just doesn’t care. Between the abysmal service, the ridiculous wait, and food that belongs in the garbage, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else
great food, location and atmosphere! We love the two story glass exterior façade that allows you to feel like you're eating on a cruise ship with nothing but beach and ocean in site while you dine. We've dined here multiple time and the food is always fresh and highly tasteful.
The binoculars that are provided at each table along the storefront is also a nice touch for the kids and zooming in to catch a dolphin breaking water. The place could use a little interior updating though but overall, I'd highly recommend.
