I’m new to the area, and me and my husband tried Ted’s Kickin Chicken out . We both was very disappointed. The food I ordered was the lower chicken which is a leg and a thigh and some fries, and my husband ordered ten wings. My chicken was so little and no flavor , and they charged a hefty price $36.95 .Will not be going back .

Ted's is a favorite lunch spot. Delightful chicken dishes in a festive mountain Nascar milieu.

Never been there before, heard it was supposed to be good. I stopped there and waited several minutes to place a to-go order. Two employees in kitchen but they pretty much acted like they didn't want to be there and didn't bother looking up to say someone would be with me in a minute. Lady finally came from the bathroom to take my order. She was pleasant enough and seemed more friendly than the others there.

I ordered the half chicken with fries, small chips and fried pickles. Fries had way too much seasoning on them and 75% of the chips were raw. The fried pickles were eh. The chicken was okay, I've had worse.

Definitely will not be stopping by there again.

I used to love Ted's, but this location is NOT the same. The service is by far the worst! The Owners wife should stay at home. The best advice would be to stay away! Go to the grocery store, buy a bag of chicken wings, and soak in Italian dressing. Deep fry, add sauce, and enjoy.

Ordered 10 boneless wings for almost 11$ and there were 5 normal size pieces of chicken and a dozen frier crusties I placed the crusties on a napkin when the waitress came by I told her this was not good and she offered to go get more pieces and I said no we were fixing to leave anyway so she said I will just take it off I said well half would be ok. When I got to the register she said the owner wouldn't allow anything off then the owner came out the kitchen and told me how she and her helper cook counted the wings she still refused to adjust the bill and said I was a grown man whining about food . Well I work hard for my money and when I pay for something I expect it to be what I want. I hope they improve their quality. When 2 chicken tenders and a fry are 8bucks it's time to go elsewhere.

Just finished meal. Good service, but that's all that was good. Chicken was tiny, and sauce was 90 percent water. Drove up from Statesville. I would never go back .

Food was just okay. Service was fine but not exceptional. The wings were really dry and the sauce they came with was very watery and lacking flavor. We were very disappointed.

Just what you would expect - good chicken. Ted's is one of my go-to diners when traveling through North Wilkesboro.

I had eaten here before and thought the wings were good but should have given more consideration to the latest low reviews. Chicken was bland, you will pay extra for anything you need like sauce for dry chicken with no communication of additional cost. There is a charge for tap water and we may have had to pay for an extra fork but unsure as we were not given an itemized check just a total that was almost $2 more than what we totaled our cost to be. Plus an additional $1 for not paying with cash. Jalapeño poppers tasted like frozen store bought and were filled with runny nacho cheese, six for $8. Chopped chicken sandwich with beans and potato salad was $8.99 but because I wanted white meat for a $1 extra was told I couldn't get the sides with it I would have to buy them separately. So if you want a white meat sandwich with 2 sides you have to pay $12. The chicken on the sandwich was chunk chicken and looked more like it was boiled or steamed as there was no seasoning to it whatsoever. The bbq sauce served in a small plastic cup was vinegar based with the consistency of water so when you attempt to put it on the sandwich it rolls right off the chunked chicken. I had to soak the bun and eat it with a fork to have any flavor. Unless money and taste are of no object, I would recommend choosing elsewhere. You know it's bad when the family said we wished we had just gone to McDonald's.
