Cannot comment on the food as we never received any. We were not seated right away because they said the kitchen was backed up. That should have been our tip to go elsewhere. We waited about 15 minutes and were seated. Waited another 20 minutes and finally had to ask for our order to be taken. All in we were there about 2 hours and walked out with no food. Apparently, kitchen overlooked order. Shame on us for wasting so much time in this place.

Big menu with lots of delicious-sounding choices. Chose the daily special shrimp gumbo and the queso and chips odd the Appy Hour menu. Both were good - fresh, warm chips and mildly spicy queso and a tasty gumbo full of veggies, shrimp and sausage. Chose the steak sandwich for dinner. Lots of grilled pepper and onions on top of tender beef in a roll. Really good. Hear the desserts were worth the extra calorie and they were. Banana pudding just like your grandma made and a shareable slice of hummingbird cake with cream cheese icing.. wow! Go early so you don’t have to wait and enjoy! Excellent service. Delicious food.

We typically go to Amelia's for breakfast but decided on dinner tonight.. everything was really good as always. My son ordered the special...Chicken Parmasean (he said it was the best he ever had).... I had the eggplant rollitini (really good) and hubby had the appetizer specials (beef tips and clams). We loved every bite and have leftovers. There were 3 servers tonight covering the floor and they did amazing

The menu offers a wide variety of foods. I had some chicken wings which were good but nothing special. My wife had a cheeseburger and my 4-year-old had a grilled cheese. My sister-in-law ordered a flounder platter. It was supposed to come with a salad but no one ever brought it out. It came with green beans as the vegetable but she said it had a strong onion flavor. Even my father in law wouldn’t even eat them because of the taste. The service was mediocre at best. It’s not a large restaurant and there were 2-3 waitresses. After we ordered our food I asked for some refills. It took several minutes for them to get there. I also asked for a to-go drink as we paid our bill and the waitress never came back with it. I just went up to the bar and someone there was quick to help out.

It's hit and miss here. Service was awful we got seated when it wasn't busy and the waitress decided to ignore us for 15 minutes. As for the food it's a mix of good and just okay. Appts were what we started with- Wings that were fairly good, queso and chips- queso was extra thick, too thick really however taste was good. The chips were a big disappointment, too dark. I don't think they were fresh. Beef tips were very good. She crab soup was too thick for soup, it was more like a rye, very disappointing. Grouper sandwich was very good. Reuben sandwich was good but could have used a bit more meat and sauerkraut. Cheeseburger was decent. Didn't care for the shrimp and grits the base had too much tomato in it for me.

I was starving after a long day at work and had heard so many good things about this restaurant so I decided to try it out. It was wound 2:30 in the afternoon and I walked in and it was self seating so I grabbed a table. The place looked very clean and inviting, only about 5 tables full on the whole establishment. Seemed a pretty chill day. After 26 minutes of sitting there while the staff behind the counter apparently didn't notice me sitting in the table right in front of them...and at least 3 servers walking by and making eye contact I got a little irritated. Not even a greeting or a menu had been dropped off. After 10 minutes, I flagged down the next server that walked by. She said hello I said hey could I have a menu please and a sweet tea w no lemon. She said oh yes sure. And smiled, walked off and headed straight into the kitchen. Proceeded to go in one of the coolers as I watched her thinking who keeps menus in the cooler? I sat there for about 5 minutes waiting to no avail while the rest of the staff ignored me. I said forget this and left and went to Feast OIB right across the parking lot which was amazing so maybe things happen for a reason although I can make no sense of it. Oh yeah as I was leaving one of the staff locked the door behind me and posted a handwritten note saying they were closed and would reopen. I felt so welcomed. Lol

Wish they had more draft beer available other than that the food is delicious. I owned a restaurant, I must say this place has great food! Staff is friendly and attentive Surprisingly not too crowded, hope they are paying their servers hourly for a small restaurant. The staff were standing there staring at the door waiting for people to come in. Next time I will have to try the stuffed flounder looked delicious. Best food you can get around here if you ask me.

The grouper sandwich was delicious, as were the fries and the ahi tuna. Very convenient location. The inside is really nicely-decorated, but it is in a shopping center, so there isn’t much to look at outside. No water view.

A pleasant surprise! Stopped in for lunch after just arriving into town. Hubby had the chicken dumplings & I had the spinach quiche with a side salad. Both very yummy! We’ll be be back for breakfast!

We have been coming to Ocean Isle for about 10 years but had not discovered Amelia’s until this year. We absolutely loved it!!! My grouper sandwich was fabulous and the remoulade sauce was perfection! My friend felt the rollotinni was delicious and appreciated the fact that they had some vegetarian options for him. My hubby enjoyed the crab cake sandwich very much. We found the dessert options to be terrific. The best option was the beignets with maple bourbon praline ice cream- oh my it was delectable ? We plan to go back again to try some of the other entrees and desserts

10 STARS!!!!!! We want to thank the owner, Steve Cuozzo, for providing an absolutely amazing brunch for our 50th Wedding Anniversary!!!!!! The amount of food and quality of it was beyond anything hoped for! Everyone was raving about the food! The cost was so very reasonable too! Steve delivered the food directly to our rental property and was so friendly! He certainly went above and beyond to make our celebration so special! We look forward to seeing Steve again next year at Amelia's!

Went looking for a quick Saturday night meal after arriving in town. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and quick. The fish and chips was fresh and served quickly they were nice and crisp not oily, the crab cake sandwich was a big hit nice and crisply fried. Very happy with the meals

We stopped in for Lunch one day while visiting OIB. The food was good... but my gosh expensive. I mean Lunch for 2 kids and 2 adults cost almost $70!!! We never went back. Like I said the food was very good...but prices just too high.
