Very pricy and they are always out of popular flavors!I suggest the Ice Cream Shoppe across from Food Lion and Lowes Foods.

I wish they had dairy free options

Go here every year and it is always great! Don't listen to the bad reviews on here, it is a wonderful place to take your family in the evenings. The "teens" are always very helpful and friendly. The workers do a good job helping everyone and keeping the line moving. Ice flavor taste great as well!

Extremely overpriced for the quality and quantity. One scoop *onto a cake cone was $5. The reason I stress the word "onto" is because of just that. They didn't even push some of the ice cream "into" the cone. So once you finish your scoop, you're left with a dry, empty cone. Taste was just okay. Probably won't ever be back.

Seems they were a bit limited in flavors unless it was chocolate based but it was tasty and cold.

In mid-June, our 10-member family went to Ocean Isle Creamery on a Thursday evening. It was very busy here and the business next door. Lots of people everywhere! The ice cream was so good - rich and creamy and very flavorful. We all enjoyed our treats and glad we went. We may have even started a new family tradition! The line for ice cream was almost to the door yet it moved reasonably fast. When we reached the counter I could see their efficiency. There were many flavors to choose from and three people doing the scooping. Each person had their designated flavor to scoop. When you asked for a flavor, the scooper in front of that flavor did the scooping. If you asked for two different flavors like I did (and they were at different ends), two different scoopers did the work. This meant that there was no extra walking around or bumping into each other. Ice cream was scooped and served fast - ready to pay, get out the door, and eat it outside.I never felt rushed.I did appreciate their high level of efficiency. We'll be back next year for more treats!

Ice cream lacked flavor. It was creamy but thats about it. I had 4 orders they got 3 out of the 4 right. Only seen teenage workers, no adults. No smiles or friendliness. It's a great tourist trap.

Good ice cream but very expensive.

Asked the teens if we could get a replacement ice cream for the one that melted that we were holding for our friend and was told yeah. As we were leaving, the same girl (littlest one) said we had to pay after she made it. So, she just changed her mind after making it. Teens should not be working in there by themselves. They didn’t know what to do in the situation and were awkward while ordering. No smiles, barely any communication, and then miscommunication after.

Weston and Kaylnn recommended me to this shop. So good. So wow. Thank you for making such a good birthday cake icecream cup and m&m double cone. I loved seeing the frat bros.

As someone that's lived here for 5 years, I can't say that I'd recommend this creamery to anyone, even summer visitors desperate for a cold sweet treat. This place is always packed May-August, you will undoubtedly be waiting in a line backed up out the door and into the parking lot. The seasonal adolescent staff they have can be shockingly and unnecessarily rude. And most importantly, the ice cream is subpar: For the past five years I've occasionally stopped in on a whim & tried different flavors each time. Every single time, Im left unsatisfied, disappointed, and every flavor ends up tasting the same after 5 minutes--- you won't have the desire to finish even the smallest size. With rude staff, long wait lines, and bad ice cream--- you're better off taking the trip to Calabash & testing out the Calabash Creamery. People around here seem to have much better things to say about this shop & the owner is very sweet, he goes so far as to drop free tubs of ice cream off every now and then for my grandmother on his own initiative. Calabash Creamery over OIB Creamery any day.
