Ocean Isle Fish Company

We arrived early evening on a Tuesday and the place was absolutely slammed. We put her name in for a table and went upstairs for a Tiki drink or two. Drinks were excellent. After we were seated our server, Riley took out drink order and reappeared quickly with water and our drinks. I have the captain’s platter and chose shrimp and clams and Anne ordered the shrimp and grits. Riley had warned us that it’s a large portion, but who knows what that really can be. Well, the food arrived promptly and the shrimp and grits truly was an enormous portion. Enough for two. Was creamy, cheesy, slammed full of shrimp, andouille and mushrooms. My shrimp and clams were lightly breaded and fried to perfection. Frankly, as busy as it was, I was surprised with the speed of service and the quality of the food. Absolutely recommend this place!

Our first visit and thought..hey, this is a cool place but then...they bring our food out but no drinks. My wife and I ordered diet pepsi & water, I go back to the guy at the register of the Tiki bar & let him know we'd not received our drinks yet, which he just rudely points to on the table next to him. I take them back to the table, my wife takes a sip and says it isn't water but some crazy funky drink she didn't order. I'd already paid for our meal then they bring out a bill for $18 for the drink which we didn't order and didn't want. They wouldn't let us leave until we had paid even though we returned the drink to them. Needless to say they didn't leave a good first impression & we want be going back.

Food very greasy and really not tasty! Bad experience here this time. A few years ago it was so much better.

Had a great experience here. This is the same company that owns wing and fish down on Main Street in Shallotte. The wings are the best anywhere. Make sure you ask for dry rub. Great service as always and the weight is never long. Plus the location is gorgeous.

We had a great experience at Ocean Isle Fish Company, it was not a very busy night the service was fast and the food was very good.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the second floor, and there is a elevator available for the seniors in our party.

While I have been to Ocean Isle Fish Company before, this time I ordered something that will make the visit more memorable. I haven’t had shrimp and grits in forever and after tasting these, I’m thinking I’ll have to make them a regular on my annual beach trip. The flavors were wonderful and the serving so large that I was able to take home at least half for another wonderful meal the next day.

All around great place to hang and get some killer food and drinks. The view is amazing on the upper deck and I'm a big fan of the fishbowl drinks and seafood nachos. The old man and the sea is an amazing burger as well.

Nice view from 3rd floor 👌 no servers working. You have to order everything at the bar. Then food runner bring food out.

We had crab bites that were delish but went to watch the boats coming in from the king mackerel tournament and it was awesome. If you are on the top deck you have to order at the bar and they bring the food to you.
