Pelican’s Perch Bar & Grill

The food is ok. Pelican Dip is the bomb. However we waited 20 minutes to get our check. We even asked other employees for help during this time and none seemed overly helpful. Maybe train your servers to ask for help if they are in the weeds.

move to this area apartment 4 months ago and found the pelican grill just about pure accident the food was good service was decent a little pricey but not too bad but every time there's something going on they refuse to answer the phone they refused to do take out orders and my wife and I generally do not eat out that often we just go get it take it back home I drive almost 40 minutes here to find out that they're not doing takeout orders and I think that's totally everyday because if you don't want to do take out orders that's fine but let's see how long the tourists keep you in business during the winter months cuz you've lost me as a customer for good I will never come back

Very nice place, the waitress was absolutely excellent. Food was real good, I had the fish sandwich and french fries. Many menu choices an priced reasonably. Ocean Isle an location of the restaurant is very scenic. Food was served on time and the waitress attended to our table frequently an always a smile an pleasant conversation . We had 14 people an no complaints at all. Great job by all I certainly recommend this restaurant for all the above reasons

What I would expect from a beach bar & grill for vibe. Food is great and the service better. Was there with a large group and drinks/food served quickly and no one had to ask for drinks.

I was greeted by a friendly hostess. I asked to sit outside. There was a group of four men at a picnic table and I sat at another one. There was also another table in a separate area with people siting. The hostess brought out a metal bucket with ketchup and utensils. I reviewed the menu and decided what I wanted. I watched a server go by to take care of the men group. They left a few minutes later after paying. I saw another server go to the other table as well. No one came to me. A drunk patron came to and started to talk to me. I had started the timer on my phone to see how long before someone took my order. It had already been 5 minutes prior. I spoke to the patron for a couple of minutes and still no one. I decided to get up and ask the young hostess if I was going to be served or should I leave. I showed her the timer she said yes someone would. But I was tired of wating so I left.. two bad experiences at local restaurants.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The waitress, bouncer, and bartender were very snooty and rude. They acted like they did not want to serve us. Would not recommend to anyone.

Accepted a fake ID in our group, but didn’t accept an expired one- totally fine and legal, except the fake ID. Profiled us and stared us down assuming a 34 year old with an expired ID was going to accept the shooter someone offered her. Only arrived there because nothing else was open this time of year, certainly will not return. Very chip on their shoulder (for no reason) and alienated a 250 wedding party for the weekend, but especially those of us who have vacation homes here.
