So many options and it’s so good, great when it’s hot outside, and the workers are very sweet!

All of the slushes were dairy-free (just shaved ice!) except the coffee flavor. They did warn of risk of cross contamination with gelato. I got the almond, coconut, and chocolate cup and i can’t wait to go back!
So many great flavors, we get so excited when we see them coming down the beach with their carts. Even more flavors in the store, every kind I’ve had is great!

Best Italian ice I've ever eaten. Go just about everyday during the week we're there for years. Even before it moved location from the pier It's almost the consistency of ice cream. Makes Rita's look like a watered down snowcone shop. Would suggest walking or biking because parking is a nightmare
Parking: Parking is absolutely atrocious. The lot is almost always full. Not Sunset's fault by any means

A must do while visiting OIB. Go at the beginning of your stay, so you can grab a koozie cup. Then you could go back later for a refill or they have several carts that go up and down the beach (beach is cash only). The carts will usually have about 4 flavors on hand. If there's a long line outside, which they're usually is, go inside, the wait is usually shorter.
They also serve Blue Bell ice cream and you can do a combo with ice cream and Italian ice, I recommend blue vanilla with vanilla ice cream.
There are probably 10 different koozie colors.

The combo of Italian ice and ice cream isn't very good. It just tastes watered down. The lemon Italian ice was very good and flavorful. The ice cream is ok if you like hard scoop ice cream.

Where do I even begin. Blue vanilla stands out as the best Italian ice flavor at Sunset Slush in North Carolina due to its unique and enchanting taste. This flavor combines the classic sweetness of vanilla with a hint of blueberry, creating a refreshing and creamy experience that is both familiar and exciting. The vibrant blue color adds a visual appeal that is perfect for hot summer days, making it a popular choice among both children and adults. Additionally, the smooth texture of Sunset Slush's Italian ice enhances the enjoyment of blue vanilla, as it melts perfectly on the tongue. Patrons often praise this flavor for its balanced sweetness and refreshing aftertaste, which lingers pleasantly. Blue vanilla is not just a treat but an experience that captures the essence of summer in North Carolina.

Sunset Slush and Dippin Dots were great. However, some of the candy ($10.99 per pound) was so old and yucky, we just threw it away. Just stick with the cold treats.
