Great little restaurant. People here very friendly and courteous. The best part of their menu was the Thai Donuts. Delicious!! Curry was watery compared to other Thai restaurants we have been to. But still good.
We were little surprised that even vegetarian food we ordered had egg. So please be aware of that fact. If you don't eat egg, you might want to explicitly say that.
And bring in cash as they charge exorbitant 4% fee for credit card, n not the usual 2.75% like most others.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian food has egg. So let them know if you don't egg, even if you order vegetarian food.
Parking: Small parking lot

I have to confess, I have been traveling past this place for years on US 441 just a few miles into North Carolina and didn't even know this place was here. There is another Thai restaurant just a couple of miles to the north, an absolute rarity in the rural Blue Ridge mountains of Appalachia.
One of the marketing weaknesses of this location is the lack of attention grabbing signage. The owners went with a very weak wooden sign attached to the building that is incredibly easy to miss. For reference, it is directly next to the Otto North Carolina post office. The two edifices making up the entirety of downtown Otto these days.
On the other hand, given the age of the building, the location is surprisingly very handicapped accessible inside.
I found the menu prices to be slightly lower than what I expected with a simple menu that does not overwhelm but found their selections to be bland and I think that comes from they're not adding (or proactively offering) any of the traditional accompaniments like teriyaki or soy sauce. I did ask for yum yum sauce with my fried rice and they conjured up one small container explaining to me that I got the very last of it for that day as they were now out. The blend of fried rice together with shrimp, chicken and steak as well as assorted vegetables was very well blended and a nice hearty meal.
I also got a side of pork dumplings at 6 for $6.99 but thought they were needlessly overcooked and crunchy.
There were some surprisingly interesting desserts including one type of tea that they concocted into a sort of ice cream float for $4.
They're only open for dinner with doors unlocking at 4:30 p.m. on the Tuesday that I visited but the service was excellent with two waitresses on duty, allowing for very short wait times.
I still prefer the Thai Paradise up the road and Franklin North Carolina's Asian King buffet more than this place but I'm not closing the door on visiting here again.

Always a fantastic time--I love the fried rice & the crab rangoons are my favorite in town. Stella is a fantastic host--Professional, Positive, and Attentive. Worth the stop---we like to arrive exactly at 5pm as it can get busy some days.

The food is amazing especially if you love true authentic Thai food, the servers are sweet and kind while also being very knowledgeable about the food they are serving.
The wait for food is also very nicely paced between the entrees, appetizers and desert.
I went for my birthday and had just the perfect timing with food, the loveliness of our server and the owner nan, I love dinning with nans beautiful staff, food and warm atmosphere!
My only regret was coming in when we did because I did not realize they closed at 8; however if you love a nice paced meal, and Thai food I would and I will continue Siam thai!

Came in for dinner after a long day of work. I was looking forward to the food because it’s usually one of my favorite places in the area to eat. We were seated, got our drinks quickly, and told the waitress that we need another minute on ordering. Twenty mins later and three tables behind us got their order taken and we are still sitting there starving. I paid for my wife’s soda and left. More than likely not coming back. It’s a shame.
