I recently visited a charming eatery - Kay’s Cafe’ - in Pembroke, NC - that left me absolutely impressed! The large cheeseburger I ordered was nothing short of perfection. The lettuce was incredibly crisp and fresh, the tomatoes tasted like they were hand picked straight from the garden still dripping with early morning dew, and the juicy hamburger with cheese was generously stacked between a soft sesame seed bun, perfectly complemented by just the right amount of mayonnaise, just the way I like it. And let's talk about their Sweet iced tea - it was so mouthwatering that I couldn't resist almost finishing it off before my order was ready! To top it off, the potato salad was a nostalgic delight, reminding me of the comforting flavors of my Grandma's own recipe. The menu truly exceeded my expectations, making me already planning my next trip to Kay’s Cafe’ in Pembroke, NC just to savor their delicious offerings again!

Heard the pastry was suppose to be so good on Wednesdays but when I got there at opening to try it, it was unedible. I am usually not one to waste even if its not the best but I couldn't do it. The chicken salad was alright but needed salt and
Kays is a great local mom and pop diner. They have country food on the buffet bar and an assortment on menu.The service is good but it can get packed at lunch time. I would place an order on those days.Definitely try the subs and chicken and pastry!
