We went there on a beautiful afternoon staff was very nice. However, the place greatly lacks the charm that it once had. so many different kinds of seating areas obscure the beautiful view and the charming atmosphere. The focus is definitely NOT on the wine as was mentioned. . The menu is interesting. However, the food was Overly Salted as mentioned on various reviews. North Carolina wines have a big stigma and while the wine here is good, it lacking the structure and complexity to be asking prices that they ask in Napa Valley.

Very pretty setting but the overall experience was too structured and formal for us. It seems to be working for them though because it was very busy for a Friday afternoon. The servers are knowledgeable and welcoming. The cost of the tastings and bottles IMO was not in line with the price.

I don't even know where to begin with this vineyard. Driving up to the property is so beautiful and gives an automatic aura of relaxation. Once inside your automatically greeted and made to feel right at home. My husband and I decided to do the reserve wine tasting, which included 6 different red wines to taste and finishes with their sweet vermouth (which would be perfect by itself but stunning in a Manhattan). My husband and I were then escorted outside to enjoy our lunch on the patio overlooking the lake and pilot Mountain. The wine caught me off guard with how smooth and luxurious they all tasted, I felt like I was back in wine country in California! My husband and I were most shocked by the food, this is definitely a five star dining experience while remaining reasonably priced. The lamb was some of the best lamb I've had in years, I didn't want the meal to end. If you have a love for nature, wine, food, or all three than you have found your spot. My husband and I quickly joined their wine club and are excited to make this one of regular spots when in the NC area.

We visited last Friday, March 22nd for lunch. We had a 1:30 reservation & we arrived early & were instructed by the host that we could wait at the bar. We found seats at the bar & ordered a bottle of wine & ate a few of the crostini’s that were within reach. The man behind the bar rudely commented that the crostini were not appetizers, but were “palette cleansers”. Of course they were. But was it worth pointing out to paying customers who’d been invited to the bar that it was inappropriate to eat them? We will not be back.

Awesome. They have amazing wines and great food. Shout out to the chefs. Tastings are great and the staff is very friendly and informative. In our opinion, the best winery in North Carolina.

I was looking for a spot to throw a birthday party for my wife. My goal was to make it one that would not soon be forgotten by my wife and those attending. JoLo delivered! The venue was great, the service was superior and the food and wine was second to none.Jerry Ann and the staff were great to work with and they made it all easy for a guy that would have been lost without their expert guidance. Thanks Jerry Ann and JoLo!Let’s do it again soon.

Is a jewel of a place. The menu was superb, delicious and on point. Enjoyed the meatloaf (great price) the fries with the truffle sauce was very good. The crab dip is a must. We ordered 2 bottles of wine, and a bottle of Sangria. Can't wait to visit them again. Great views.
