First visit to Pinehurst, spent a bit of time in Pinehurst Village, and ran upon this cool place. I was alone, so I was immediately seated at the bar. The bartender gladly took my order, even though I wasn't drinking. She was most pleasant, and made me feel welcome and at ease.
I ordered a Guinness Reuben with a side of slaw. The slaw was unique, sweet and completely delicious. It held my attention from my Reuben, far longer than most other sides could have done. The sandwich itself was perfect, to my tastes. It arrived hot, and fresh from the kitchen. The bread was buttered and toasted to a fine crispiness. It housed generous layers of meat, cheese and kraut, with a flavorful sauce. It hit the spot completely.
I wish I'd been in position to order a Guinness to accompany the meal, but I was headed to a doctors appointment. Next time!
Cool place, great food, excellent service. See you in a few weeks!

Cheerful service and delicious food. I liked that there were a couple of vegan options - the portobello tacos were excellent!

Been coming to Drum for many years. Hailey waited on me and my wife a few months ago and I now request her every time I come in. She is so much fun and gives the best service!!! She is a huge asset to Drum and Makes our time there the best!!! I do not see her on Friday and Saturday but wish she worked those nights!!! She is one of the best servers in Moore county!!!

“Blackened” mahi was non existent , see photo for the blackened, it was terrible (not blackened and no seasoning at all). Fish was so dry. If you want seafood, do not attend (not even the crab cakes). The burger was good! The host and atmosphere was good!

I really don't want to write this review but my experience was so bad that I must. I really love the concept of Drum and Quill. It has a great local pub fill in quaint downtown Pinehurst. I actually enjoyed the Salmon I got. But the service was atrocious. The staff was loud and watching videos together instead of working. The specific server had a very aloof vibe, which I would not have worried about except for what happened later. I was billed an add-on charge for a side with my salmon. However, the menu mentioned no upcharge. The server just kept saying that there was a charge. When I asked her to show it to me on the menu, she said that the menus had not been updated. I told her that I wasn't going to pay for it since it wasn't on the menu. She went to get the manager. 10 minutes later she walks by our table, drops off a new bill and takes our old one without a word, much less an apology. I hate it, but their attitude has turned me away for good.

Our waitress Hailey was extremely personable and overall she did such a great job - she made the experience (would be wise to promote her). I brought my mom here while she was visiting and she absolutely loved it. Very cool atmosphere and excellent drinks. Drum & Quill is a pub that makes you feel like you’re at home.

Food was good and interesting. It took a while to get served while the place did not seem very busy. Manager was rude.

Lovely place to stop for a quick bite. Their food is good, atmosphere is old world, and service is good. Go when it’s not busy for the best service. Large screen TV’s are available and usually on a sporting event.

The wife and i decided to step out for dinner and what we thought would be nice turned to be a nuisance! our server seemed irritated by us as soon as she came to our table. she never said her name but her hair was long and blonde and she only came to us once and that was to take our order other than that every other worker in there served us. we ended up slipping one of the servers that was helping our original server some money because we felt bad. we will be back but hopefully we won’t get her as her server again!! it wasn’t busy AT ALL so we couldn’t be understanding in any way.

Had a burger, dining companion had tacos. Burger was great, companion said tacos were good as well. Waitress recommended both of those dishes. She was excellent, very personable and efficient. She overheard my dining companion mention upcoming college graduation and gave us a slice of cheesecake (also delicious) on the house. Decent whiskey selection and can pour over large cubes. Would absolutely go back again.
