Paid $39 for a ribeye steak and was charged $ 4 additional for a baked potato--really? I didn't want mashed potatoes. Nice old house but very loud people next to us made the experience less than enjoyable. Unlikely we will return.

This is a very steady favorite restaurant of mine. Not over the top by any stretch but a decent spot

Anniversary dinner so we splurged and tried a lot. Seated at a nice table for two, appetizers were shrimp cocktail, fried mushrooms, and broccoli Parmesan soup, all were delicious but especially the soup! Don't bother with the side salads, very disappointing. We tried the Caesar and the wedge... my wedge arrived with no blue cheese crumbles, blah blue cheese dressing, and way too sweet/overpowering balsamic glaze. The little biscuits were delicious and reminded my husband of his Granny's biscuits, he asked for something to go! Husbands had surf and turf. Tenderloin cooked to perfection and he enjoyed immensely. Shrimp described as scampi, were delicious, bc he loves shrimp, but definitely DID NOT taste like shrimp scampi or have that presentation. They were just grilled and on skewers so a bit underwhelming since no garlic butter panko to lap the shrimp in. Ordered a loaded potato, came unloaded but our server took it back and fixed however it then came with no sour cream so had to ask for something else AGAIN. I asked for a side of grilled chicken since we had splurged on apps. The chicken came chopped up and COLD! It looked like prepackaged fake chicken. Fed to my dogs. At a nice restaurant why would you serve a side of chicken like that? The other side meat options were salmon and one other. I'm curious how they would have been presented????? As for service our waiter Levi was top notch and tried to make our meal correct. As to the ambience, it started great bc the host read my request for a quiet spot, however he then proceeded to seat a very boisterous male golfing party directly behind us. Ridiculous, and very frustrating bc it ruined our dinner. I guess we would go again but would definitely be very specific in what we order and how we expect it to come to the table.

Great location in Pinehurst and short walk to village. Great bar and restaurant. Sammy is an awesome bartender. Great food and service. The hotel rooms are very old and outdated. The room was clean.

We stopped for evening drinks. Love the small bar area, kept an old school feel to the location...

We went for breakfast and I guess it was a little busier than they expected because I only saw three servers. The food was amazing and we received great service, even considering how busy they were. The servers they had were killing it. I was more concerned that there seemed to be a manager walking around and not helping? I’ve been in the restaurant industry for a while and have been a manager before and it concerned me that she seemed to be using physical intimidation and glaring at the servers to work harder instead of helping them. They were drowning and having someone in a leadership position do nothing was frustrating to watch. Again, the food and the service was amazing but I don’t know if we will be returning if those are the people in charge.

Get the special! Always terrific. Comfortable, quiet, our server, Ashley, was attentive and helpful. Lots of good things to choose from on the regular menu, too. We will be back soon.

We'd love the Pinecrest Inn restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, the servers are always polite and knowledgeable and the ambience is charming. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful restaurant near to us and we go there as often as we can. It is a true Pinehurst experience, one that we appreciate so much. The management there is awesome.

The rooms are beautiful and full of history and charm! The food cannot be beat! The breakfast buffet is amazing and dinner in the pub is fantastic! Best French dip I’ve ever had. Say hi to the best bartender, Sammy!

Remember it's a old hotel, so it's old. But awesome

The Pinecrest Inn is simply the best. If you appreciate golf history and authentic, old-school Pinehurst, this is as good as it gets. A+++

This was our first dinner at the Pine Crest, and we were pleasantly surprised. The menu is varied, and very well priced. My husband had the shrimp tortellini and loved it, and I had the Pine Crest Chicken, which was GF, and also very good. Our waitress was very nice and helpful in terms of recommendations. Nice pricing on drinks. There is also a pub across the hallway from the dining room, which was lively as well. We'll be back!
