I thought the food was good although the portions were small. The menus were just sheets of paper and I have seen better utensils in a roadside dinner. At the prices they charge this is just unacceptable to me. I will not be going back. One and done.

Food was great but took a long time and the setting is pretty bad. Would be much better in a different setting and an a la carte menu.
We drove a hour to try the Wellingtons and they were amazing! Everything we tasted was like a hug for your soul! The food was a 10/10. The restaurant wasn't impressive for the amount of money that they charged however but it was clean. Just seems as if the food is the focus which was fine for us. We will be back.
We ate at Tartare for the first time celebrating our anniversary. We had a delightful experience from the time we walked in the door. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive, made excellent recommendations, and ensured our experience was impeccable. He also had a good sense of humor. Our first trip to Tartare will not be our last
Chris our waiter was wonderful, overall had a great meal and experience, will go back soonđ
I had a wonderful meal at Tartare recently. I started with onion soup which was just delicious. The depth of flavor was remarkable. Then I had the grilled Romain salad. It was also amazing, but I wanted a bit less dressing and a bit fewer toppings. I eat this salad every time I visit because I love it so, but it is just a bit too rich for me. Then I had the chicken based Wellington. It was perfect with flakey pastry and succulent filling. I ended with crÚme brûlée! A memorable meal!
Came to celebrate my birthday, and was not disappointed! The food (pictured below, creme brulee, salmon wellington,
and French onion soup) and service are excellent. I would definitely go again, and will recommend to everyone I know to try it out!
A wonderful restaurant. We went for the first time last year and knew we were coming back as soon the trip was planned!
The food was wonderful! Something different in the Pinehurst area. It was perfection. And the violin serenade was lovely. A very special treat. It was just the right amount of time (4 musical pieces). The chef played beautifully. Service was perfect, friendly and efficient. A very nice night out!
SO delicious! Every single dish we had was top notch. They are absolutely the best kept secret in town with the very best food.

The food here is phenomenal. Every single dish blew us away. We were skeptical since the location doesnât look very fancy, but the food is the best in town. Do yourself a favor and go! You will not regret it.
There were $70 and $90 pre fixe three course options and a la carte, but it didn't have everything the website showed. My wife went hoping for chicken cordon blue she saw, but it was only available as wellington. The lamb and tuna were excellent as were the bananas foster and creme brulee. The server couldn't answer some menu questions and was difficult when asked for plates and forks to share the deserts.
Hands down the worst âfine diningâ experience I ever had. The server treated me with so much disrespect and the food I ate was extremely tough to eat. I thought I was eating a spare tire but was told it was beef Wellington. I am hesitant to eat here again because of how poorly I was treated and how bad the dining experience was
The food was PHENOMENAL! Absolutely one of the best restaurants in town. We were blown away by the quality of every dish.
Delicious food and great service
