Neat little off the main path family restaurant in Pinehurst. Locals love it as prices are very reasonable and service is good. Had breakfast and lunch and not disappointed with choices or quality.
Following a trip to the doctor we looked for a local restaurant and read the reviews. Our impression of the Village Cafe is pedestrian at best. We were there at breakfast time and it was quite crowded and my first thought was that lots of people means decent food. We waited over 25 mintues for our food and saw people that had come in after us getting their food with probably the same fare that we ordered, 10 minutes latter ours arrived. It wasn't like we ordered anything odd or time consuming, scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, sausage gravy over biscuits, french toast and liver pudding. The french toast was borderline burnt and liver pudding was a crispy square (BTW get your liver pudding from Neeses, not sure where you got that stuff you served but it was not up to par). The biscuits had sugar in them (thats a NO NO for a southern biscuit, it's not a sweet roll). The sausage gravy was ok. The scrambled eggs were also overcooked and rubbery. It's pretty bad when you can't beat cracker barrel. If this is considered one of Pinehurst's best I'll find grub in the next town over on our next visit.
Cute cafe with good down home cooking. Good service and reasonable prices. All staff were very attentive. Will revisit f we visit this area again.
Food was really good. Staff was very friendly. Portions were very large at a very reasonable price. We really enjoyed it and hope to come back
Very kind and friendly. My girl loved the potatoes- they were good. The coffee wasn’t great but it could’ve been the roast that they used just isn’t my favorite. This is your above average breakfast place.
Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating and nice to her.

The Village Cafe is now our go to breakfast spot in Pinehurst. The menu is extensive and the food is wonderful. Make sure you ask for Country, he is one of my favorite people in all of Pinehurst.

Great breakfast freindly service. Good old traditional breakfast at a fair price.
Dietary restrictions: Options are very good whether low calorie or carb free or sugar free
The choices are yours to make & they will accommodate special orders.
Parking: Parking lot is a little rough due to pot holes
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs would be difficult as the lot isn't paved
The large gravel would be hard to navigate.

The first several times I went in, mainly on Thursdays for the spaghetti, special, was absolutely wonderful! My toddler enjoyed every bite of his food! The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful to me and the little. I skipped a few months and went on random days. Breakfast lunch. I started having issues with my meals. Service always good. The food got so bad For me I just quit going completely. I was so sad because I really like this café and I love supporting it. But when I would leave not feeling well after eating some of the food and having a really bad taste of burnt food in my mouth I just quit going. I hope it gets better because like I said, I really did like the little café.
