I enjoyed my lunch at Wolcott's. I chose the Lobster Roll and it was tasty. Unfortunately my side dish decision, cole slaw, wasn't so great. Very, very salty. I'm looking forward to a return visit with a different menu choice.
The dining area is cozy. And there's an outdoor patio. Wolcotts is a great choice when visiting Southern Pines, NC.

Outstanding dinner. Ordered Lobster Soup, Fish n Chips, Calamari Po Boy, and Lobster Roll. Everybody enjoyed their food and service was great. For dessert we ordered Peach Cobbler Ice Cream and Chocolate Cream de Pot.
Would Recommend. Make Reservations.

The food was so good I cried (I am not exaggerating, I promise). My in-laws took me and my husband here for my birthday and it’s one of the best experiences and dinner I’ve ever had. I ordered the filet mignon with bone marrow and it exceeded my expectations times 1000. There is not one single thing I can say bad about this place. It’s expensive but worth every dollar. We will definitely be back.

Got the lobster roll 🦞

We sat in the bar area that lacked atmosphere. Our server was not attentive and there were very few customers. The duck was delicious as was the salmon. The biscuits and cheese was also very good.

Fries are excellent. They are salted with something like this parmesan garlic that tastes excellent. I got the lobster roll and it was good. It is small though so keep that in mind. Service and atmosphere were great. Would recommend. The person next to me had the chicken sandwich and I'll try that next if I'm ever back in the area.

Our dinner was delicious. The food was presented beautifully. Great wine! Do not skip the homemade ice cream from the chef. The atmosphere was very relaxing. There were not a lot of people bustling about so I felt I could take a breath and relax. Everything was perfect. They have quite a few regulars so I suggest making a reservation. The menu has something for everyone from caviar to Hamburgers although I suggest the oysters.

Scott Wolcott is an amazing, humbly passionate, skilled chef that gives priority thought to food & experience. Matt is a generous, kind, and committed manager. We are so fortunate to have a place of such high quality in Southern Pines. Bring friends from out of town, great place for an intimate date night or a fun girl’s lunch. So grateful for Scott and his amazing team at Wolcott’s. Thank you!

At a wine tasting. Waiting for our fourth wine. The presenters are looking at their tablets and not giving info about each wine as presented. Talking only to one table of folks they seem to know. Food has been okay with pairings but overall a disappointment for the price (mostly bcs of the lack of information). We are on the porch and maybe the folks inside are getting the real info. Servers are working hard and doing a great job. Been to several but this could be the last 🤔
I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but this experience was absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a simple side salad and asked to add steak because he said they don’t carry chicken breast and the only protein available was a steak. I expected a reasonable upcharge—maybe $10, $15 tops. Instead, I was shocked to see I was charged $40 just to add steak to a side salad. That’s more than the price of most full entrées on the menu!
There are plenty of restaurants in town that offer better quality and treat their customers with more honesty. I won’t be coming back.

Food was very good, but portions were quite small. I called for reservations and left a message, but never received a return call. Then, I called 1/2 hour before we arrived, and was told to just come in. When we arrived, there were no tables available, and we were offered either the porch or the bar, with no apology offered. I spoke to two people, explaining that we had called in advance, not received a return call, called the second time, and we’re told to come in, and neither apologized or showed interest in our concern. The service was nice, but slow, and two tables that arrived after us, were served before us. This was a Thursday night, not a weekend night.
