I'm not sure what the status is with the restaurant supposedly being temporarily closed, but I was able to place a DoorDash order with them today and the food was absolutely delicious. I was craving some seafood pasta and so I ordered the spicy seafood spaghetti that definitely hit the spot with my craving!

Food and service at chefs kitchen are good. They are a new spot working towards a high bar.When I say they were really just middle of the road, nothing exciting nothing horrible, just decent food. The service was a bit lackadaisical, and the dining room was empty. So it was confusing why I didn't get more attention, but I know that these things happen in newer restaurants. All of the food was a little lacking in salt and seasoning, but I am confident that this will be resolved as they get into more of a rhythm with their service. I will probably give them some time to become more established before returning, but it definitely is not a place that I am opposed to visiting again.

The customer service sucks. Especially for people trying to take out food, the guy who picked the phone up sounded very low in tone and seem lost, I simply asked “Can I place an order for pick up?”, I’m assuming he was going to say yes and could pay over the phone but he said “no” deliveries only. I then asked okay I’ll go there physically and buy the food then. He said delivery only. Smh

The food is ok, but the customer service is absolutely terrible. I have ordered delivery from them no less than 10 times (they use their own delivery drivers) and every other time I order, there is an issue with my delivery. I keep trying to give them chances, but I'm done now. Either it never arives when they say they delivered it, or I'm waiting 2-3 hours for my order. One time, I ordered and they told me the food was delivered even though it wasn't. When it never came, I ordered from another restaurant so I could eat, just for Chef's to deliver the food in the middle of the night (6 hours after I ordered) causing the food to spoil outside over night. I paid $60+ for that food. Also, I have never been able to get anyone on the phone there to ask any questions about where the food is. Not worth the price at all.

Have eaten here many times, and food is delicious, but I have ordered twice off of doordash and have not received the food. When trying to get a refund from doordash, I was informed that this restaurant delivers its own food. Tried to call, but there was no answer!

They gave me 5 raviolis, a salmon, lobster tail for $60. Not to mention the delivery driver seen me downstairs and walked right past me as if she was avoiding me on purpose, and if I had seen a bag I would've stopped her.

I had a delightful time at this restaurant. The ambience is super adorable. The service was impeccable and the food is absolutely delicious! I used to eat at their other location so I was happy to find where they moved. The bathroom was clean as well so that's a plus.

Love Chefs Kitchen. This trip had the crab stuffed Flounder, wife had the Bloody Mary Fried Lobster. Food quality, as always was top notch. This place is an untapped gem in an odd location (Carolina Place Mall) that is well worth the visit

Overall good spot for a romantic dinner. You can tell a talented chef is cooking the food, with lots of bold flavors. They don't always go together but I'm not a critic or a judge. Portions are on the smaller side, trying to save cost or emulated Michelin star establishments I guess. We had mussels fra Diavolo, crab cakes (more like crab bites), and truffle fries as appetizers. My wife had the Blackened chicken alfredo and I chose the Lamb Scottadito with spinach and risotto. The food was tasty, drinks were just ok. They were out of multiple dishes even though it was 6 pm on a Saturday night, maybe due to supply chain issues?? The decor is a little tacky with a plastic foliage wall with cheap lights hanging, but not a big deal. Overall a good experience, but not a destination restaurant or somewhere we can't wait to dine again. Great place if you're leaving the Carolina Place mall and want a nice sit-down dining experience over national franchises like the Olive Garden or Red Lobster.

The food here is really good, packed with flavor and very nicely plated. I was not a fan of the cocktails (they were mainly syrup) but I do believe they also have wine & beer. The ambiance feels like an old cafeteria to me. I went on a Friday night and my fiancé and I were the ONLY people dining. I'd order from this establishment again but most likely to go.

The food was delicious. The crab cakes were amazing and so was the steaks and salad. The Pineapple Smoked Daiquiri was good. The service was less than satisfactory. The waitress was distracted & it took a long time to get refills. The table are uncomfortably small. The menu selection dwindled almost immediately upon being seated and for the rest of the time we dined. The ambiance & location are nice and I see the vision for the restaurant. I would suggest fine dining training/hospitality training for the staff for the new year so that it can be elevated to a full fine dining experience.

This place is like a diamond in the rough. Candace was my server and I will tell you from beginning to end she was awesome! All the ladies worked well together. Thanks for the experience

Be careful, if you don’t show up for any reason they will charge you $30 per person. We couldn’t find the place and repeatedly called the them for directions, but they never answered the phone. We drove around the mall parking lot for 30 minutes and only saw a few cars in the parking lot. It was Christmas Eve, one or two cars in the lot, all calls went to voicemail, no return calls to us, so we thought Open Table was wrong about them being open and went somewhere else. Called them for 45 minutes and they never answered the phone. Called them when I saw the charge on my credit card and they still did not answer or call me back from the voice mail I left. They finally contacted me when I gave them a bad review on Google, and then blamed everything except themselves. All could have been avoided if they had just ANSWERED THEIR PHONE.
