I'm deeply grateful to Harrison United Methodist Church's leadership for cancelling your partnership with The Global Leadership Network and Global Leadership Summit, in light of this organisation's ongoing choice to publicly honour their unrepentant sexual predator founder, Bill Hybels, rather than publicly, unambiguously naming and condemning his decades of sexual harassment and sexual assault. I see you standing up with and for those who have been harmed by religious predators, exactly like Jesus did. Thank you so much.
My husband and I have been visiting this church for a few months now, and we have felt so warmly welcomed from the very first service. The congregation and leadership are genuinely kind, spirit-filled, inclusive, and affirming - immediately making us feel right at home. The pastoral team always leads such well-prepared, theologically sound worship services and there are so many wonderful opportunities for growth and discipleship. It’s a place where faith, love, and community come together beautifully.
I feel concerned 😦 that the logo is a cross burning 🔥 what’s tender about that?

A real sense of community and family. No judgement or pressure to join, but you can feel the love, acceptance and open embrace of those who attend. Great place to ring your family.
