Unfortunately i cannot leave 0 stars there’s no option to. Our new year’s eves ruined by these bartenders who refused my friends ID because it was not a drivers liscense, it was a government ID. Who buys a fake government ID? We all just turned 21 and were excited for new years together . I wish we stayed and told them to call the cops if they wanted us to leave so we could prove her ID was real. Thank you for ruining my favorite holiday whoever the bartenders were on new year’s eve.
Best place to visit if you ever seen the 90's tv show Cheers
Well it's that same experience when you get familiar with the staff and patrons.. etc

Sammy's is dirty and dingy. I don't know why these other fake 5 star reviews comment on food as Sammy's does not serve food at all.

I visited Sammy's after viewing a home for sale in a neighborhood down the street. I'm really glad we did because this bar was horrible. First we noticed that they still sell Bud Light. That is a huge red flag in itself. Second, the bartender was not well spoken, attentive, or generally sociable. Last - our drinks were awful. The atmosphere at Sammy's was depressing. There was not alot of socialization going on and there was no music. The TV's were on but at an extremely low volume. Felt like a wake. While there we reviewed the education and crime stats of the area and concluded that this area and this bar were definitely not the place for us. Thanks Sammy's!
Sammy's bar in Pineville is garbage! I am embarrassed to admit that I went to this smelly dirty pit of broke people begging me for money to gamble on the poker machines. I will never return and have warned all of my friends to avoid this dump!

DO NOT GO HERE THE BARTENDERS WILL STEAL MONEY FROM YOUR CARD ONCE YOU LEAVE AND MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE.I visited this bar and had a terrible experience!!! From the sketchy atmosphere, bad customer service, and staff allowing use of illegal drugs I give this place zero stars!!! I got one drink and got out of there quick!!! I did not tip bc the service was very unwelcoming! The following Monday I got a notification from my cash app card stating “Your transaction from sammys has been updated to include tip” I never left that bartender a tip. She went back after I left and added a $10 tip for herself. Although $10 may not seem like a lot I work hard for my money and the service I received definitely did not deserve a tip. So it’s about the principle. I called them at least 20 times no one would answer the phone. I decided to go in person and confront them about it. The woman I spoke to did not seem surprised nor did she offer an apology. She took down my information and said they would get back with me NO ONE EVER CALLED. Obviously they do not take situations like this seriously which makes me wonder how many other times has this happened? I ended up disputing the charges with my bank and my bank gave me my money back. I work hard for my money and do not appreciate them STEALING IT. Provide better service and then people will tip!!!

My recent visit to Sammy's Bar in Pineville, NC left me feeling not only disappointed but also deeply concerned for my safety. This establishment, which boasts itself as a place for socializing and entertainment, fell drastically short of even the most basic expectations. From the moment I entered, it was evident that there was a serious lack of security and a disregard for the well-being of patrons. The low-income demographic that seemed to dominate the crowd was not the issue; however, the atmosphere on the outside deck was nothing short of alarming. It was abundantly clear that the bar was not properly managing the activities taking place there. The blatant presence of illicit activities on the outside deck was nothing short of shocking. It is incomprehensible that Sammy's Bar would allow such behavior to go unchecked. The open disregard for the law and safety of patrons is inexcusable and reflects a lack of responsibility on the part of the management. As a young female patron, I felt incredibly unsafe in this environment. The combination of the atmosphere, the behavior of some patrons, and the apparent absence of any security measures left me on edge throughout my visit. It is unacceptable for any establishment to create an environment that instills fear in its patrons, regardless of their gender.Additionally, the lack of proper lighting on the outside deck further compounded the feeling of unease. It seemed as though the management had little concern for the well-being of their patrons once they stepped outside. This lack of attention to basic safety measures is simply inexcusable. In conclusion, my experience at Sammy's Bar in Pineville, NC was nothing short of a nightmare. It is deeply troubling that an establishment would allow illicit activities and an unsafe environment to persist on their premises. I implore anyone considering a visit to Sammy's to think twice and prioritize their safety and well-being. This is an establishment that should be avoided at all costs.

I recently visited Sammy's in Pineville, NC with a group of friends, none of us aware that it was exclusively a LGBTQ+ bar. While I have absolutely no issue with the LGBTQ+ community, I was genuinely concerned about my safety due to the atmosphere and previous negative reviews. The moment we walked in, it was clear that we were out of place. The vibe was overwhelming, and I felt like an outsider in an unfamiliar territory. What really bothered me, though, was the overall energy of the place. There seemed to be a lot of tension in the air, and it didn't take long before a heated argument broke out near the entrance. It was disheartening to witness, and it only heightened my anxiety about the possibility of a more serious altercation. The cherry on top of this unfortunate experience was the limited drink selection. I was hoping for a bit more variety, but the options were quite basic and left much to be desired. The soda in our mixed drinks was flat and tasteless. Complete waste of money. All in all, if you're like me and stumble into Sammy's without knowing what you're getting into, be prepared for an uncomfortable evening.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Sammy's in Pineville NC, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing evenings I've had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this place was not living up to its reputation or my expectations.First and foremost, the atmosphere was dismal. The lighting was dim and dingy, giving the place a gloomy and unwelcoming vibe. The furniture looked worn-out and neglected, with torn upholstery and wobbly tables. It seemed as if the management hadn't put any effort into maintaining the place. The service was equally abysmal at Sammy's in Pineville NC. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked basic customer service skills. It took an eternity to get a waiter's attention, and even then, they seemed annoyed by our presence. Our drinks arrived late, and the server got our orders wrong multiple times. It was frustrating to say the least.Speaking of drinks, the selection at Sammy's Gay Bar was incredibly underwhelming. The menu boasted a variety of cocktails and craft beers, but when we tried to order some of them, we were informed that they were out of stock. It was a huge letdown to see so many unavailable options, especially when we had specifically chosen this place for its supposed drink selection. To add insult to injury, the quality of the drinks we did manage to order was subpar. The cocktails were poorly mixed, lacking the proper balance of flavors.Furthermore, the prices at Sammy's Gay Bar were ridiculously high considering the overall experience. We were charged a premium for mediocre drinks and lackluster service. It felt like we were being taken advantage of, with no value for our money.Overall, my visit to Sammy's in Pineville NC left me feeling frustrated, disappointed, and regretful. The lackluster atmosphere, terrible service, limited drink selection, and subpar quality all combined to create a bad experience that fell far short of my expectations. I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to think twice and explore other options in the area.
