I have not been there in a couple of years since I don't live close. Today, I went with my mom and daughter and was not disappointed. The young lady that waited on us was so nice also. The food was smooth good! Happy we went there to eat again.

I have been to this restaurant before and it was very good however this evening I have to say, this restaurant had the worst service this evening. We waited over 30 minutes for them to bring our cocktails to the table. We ordered for an appetizer the potato pancakes. They were so greasy, but I did not complain to the waitress. I Ordered the sauerbraten as my main meal and the meat was so tough and chewy. I told the waitress and she sent the manager over. The first thing out of his mouth was “It’s not my fault” … He said they marinated the meat for three weeks in sugar and vinegar. He kept saying it’s not my fault, It’s not my fault. I wasn’t asking whose fault it was. I was letting him know that the meat was tough and I was unable to eat it. He never offered me any compensation for my meal. I have never been to a restaurant where they made you pay for the food that you did not eat because it was not good. We were a table of 6 and all 3 of us Ordered the sauerbraten and the 3 of us could not eat it. It was such a terrible experience to eat there and the service was so bad.

Terrible experience.. we ordered appetizers and drinks a table of six came in after us and were eating their appetizers and dinking their drinks before we had anything delivered to us…Out of our table of six three ordered sauerbraten.. The meat was very fatty and neither of us could chew it because it was so tough…When the manager came to our table and we told him about our food first thing he said to us was that it wasn’t their fault and blamed the butcher where he got the meat from. It certainly wasn’t our fault. He did absolutely nothing to try to rectify the situation. We’ll never go back there again obviously

We were here on a very busy Saturday evening. We had a reservation and were seated on time. The service, beer, and wine were very good. I had the wurst combo; the meats were perfectly cooked and tasty. My wife had the sauerbraten which was only fair. The beef was generally bland and a bit dry. The red cabbage and sauerkraut were prepared well. German chocolate cake was a good dessert.

Right next door to little Jimmy Polk's old house, this restaurant has really good German food, good beer, friendly staff. I enjoy the wurst sampler, sauerbraten and the jagerschnitzel. Also don't leave without having a potato pancake with applesauce on top, so good. It's hearty, authentic food and the prices are reasonable. I have been here many times and will continue to stop in whenever I'm in Pineville.

My go to German restaurant when visiting family in the Charlotte area. Always an enjoyable experience and so many authentic and delicious German dishes on the menu, I just had to go for the sampler platter. Beautifully kept and homey restaurant reminds me of the old country. 😋🍺🇩🇪

This is a very authentic German restaurant based on my limited knowledge of German cuisine. It’s the go-to choice for my wife and me when we crave a slice of Black Forest cake which I would highly recommend if you have not tried yet. I had the special yesterday which was the pork shank. It was delicious and reminded of the same dish we had when visiting Munich. The only minor disappointment for me was that it did not have the skin on it. The meat was fork tender and the flavor was on point so I’m not complaining at all. Highly recommend! My wife ordered the trout and in addition to the Black Forest we also ordered the pumpkin spice cheesecake.

Everything was SO GOOD! We just so happened upon this restaurant and we were trying to figure out what we wanted to eat, and we are so glad we found this spot! It’s phenomenal!! Our service was over the top, and the food was authentic and delicious!
