The quality of this cafe has gone down considerably since the last time I was here. It used to have a homely atmosphere and now it’s a commercialized hospital cafeteria at best. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable. Even COFFEE! How can you have a cafe and not have any coffee in stock. The only thing that saved it was the more than apologitic staff.

I enjoy the food and atmosphere every time I visit Riverview Cafe. The Chicken Cordon Bleu is my favorite sandwich. My wife and I enjoy sitting by the big windows and watching the river go by. If you have a chance when you are in town, go to Riverview Cafe and experience a small town atmosphere where people care about you and you get good food to eat!

Stopped for lunch while traveling through town. This place offers fast friendly service in a beautiful setting. I had a Smoke on the Water grilled cheese and it was delicious!!! The cafe is in the back overlooking the Roanoke River and has a shop up front. Parking was easy along the street. I highly recommend Riverview cafe!!!
