I was in town today as part of my quest to visit all 100 counties in North Carolina, and I stopped in to take a snack back with me to my hotel.
You enter from the street through the artisan Market which has a lot of really cute items before you get to the actual cafe in the back. And that's where you get the name of the cafe because the river view is amazing!
There was a lot of comfy seating and a lot of great options for snacks or full meals. I opted for an unsweet tea that was brewed a little bit strong but it was still good. I also picked up a molasses cookie and a recommended pecan pie bar.
The pecan pie bar was okay. But I'm not a huge fan of pecan pie. The molasses cookie? AMAZING.
I would definitely stop into this location again if I was in the area. The staff was really great and it was just an overall pleasant experience on a very hot day for a reasonable price.

Riverview CafĂ© â Where Southern Charm Meets Boutique Bliss
Tucked into the heart of Plymouth, NC, since 2019, Riverview CafĂ© is more than just a cafĂ©âit's an experience wrapped in charm and tied with a bow of Southern hospitality.
From the moment I walked in, I felt like Iâd stepped into a cozy little dream. Not only was the food warm, fresh, and straight-up soul-soothing, but the space itself was filled with a collection of merchandise so beautiful, it practically smiles at you. Think: gifts you didnât know you needed, homey touches that whisper âtake me home,â and that perfect blend of rustic and chic.
The staff? Welcoming, patient, and downright lovely. Youâre not just a customer hereâyouâre a guest, a neighbor, a friend.
Whether you're craving a delicious bite or browsing for a unique gift (or letâs be honestâboth), Riverview CafĂ© is the place to be. Support local, eat well, and leave a little happier than you came in.
River view cafe is a quaint cafe, set in the Plymouth area. It definitely is a very small town feel
Everyone welcomed us in as they are their meals. We decided not to stay to eat because we were looking for something to go. But if youâre ever in the area they have the river view cafe, and some local gift shops in the area
Everyone was very friendly in the area and was very welcoming to visitors to Plymouth
The Reuben and grilled cheese were good.
