Riverview Café – Where Southern Charm Meets Boutique Bliss

Tucked into the heart of Plymouth, NC, since 2019, Riverview Café is more than just a café—it's an experience wrapped in charm and tied with a bow of Southern hospitality.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I’d stepped into a cozy little dream. Not only was the food warm, fresh, and straight-up soul-soothing, but the space itself was filled with a collection of merchandise so beautiful, it practically smiles at you. Think: gifts you didn’t know you needed, homey touches that whisper “take me home,” and that perfect blend of rustic and chic.

The staff? Welcoming, patient, and downright lovely. You’re not just a customer here—you’re a guest, a neighbor, a friend.

Whether you're craving a delicious bite or browsing for a unique gift (or let’s be honest—both), Riverview Café is the place to be. Support local, eat well, and leave a little happier than you came in.

River view cafe is a quaint cafe, set in the Plymouth area. It definitely is a very small town feel

Everyone welcomed us in as they are their meals. We decided not to stay to eat because we were looking for something to go. But if you’re ever in the area they have the river view cafe, and some local gift shops in the area

Everyone was very friendly in the area and was very welcoming to visitors to Plymouth

We stopped at this delightful cafe for a coffee drink and breakfast on our road trip home. Service and food was fabulous! Made to order with a smile!

Great little spot on the river. They let us bring our small dog inside. Great grilled sandwiches. My husband said that might be the best Reuben he’s had. Nice stop on our way home from OBX.

We came to Plymouth today for the first time to take a pontoon boat ride with Lou. It was so beautiful on the river a picture perfect day!Enjoyed all the stories that Lou shared. Then we ate lunch at River view cafe. The food was so incredibly good. I had the broccoli and cheese soup and BLT. The BLT was the best I have ever had. My husband loved his sloppy Joe sandwich also. We will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to our friends. Thank you Lou and Jill

My dad found a maggot in his BLT as he ate the last piece. Sickening. That was lunch today and we’re at home now and he can’t stop wondering if something will happen to him because he had maggots with his lunch today. The waitress didn’t even refund just asked if she could get him some more food. Why would he want more food, knowing you’re serving it with maggots. Eat here at your own risk.

What a gem this find was. The Riverview cafe was pleasing from beginning to end. We travel a lot and wish there were more cafes like this one. Meticulously clean, friendly staff, and delicious food. They even welcomed our pup with smiles. We enjoyed the grilled French dip(special of the day) and the grilled ham and cheese. The sandwiches were grilled just right, bread still slightly soft on the inside and nice toast on the exterior. The deli meats and cheese used seemed high quality. The owners walk around making sure everything is satisfactory and that the cafe remains clean. During our visit they had low key live music which was enjoyable. The front of the cafe has a little artisan market. I loved to see them supporting local craters as well as the local senior center crafters. I highly recommend Riverview cafe for those seeking a unique experience and great food all in one.

The Riverview Cafe is a wonderful local place to have a great lunch and to relax while enjoying the view of the river, through the large windows, facing the water.
My whole family’s favorites are the Rueben, the potato salad, with its delicious twists, and all of their “sweets.” The scones and the butter pecan cookies are my personal favorites. Jill and her husband are great hosts who make you feel at home. I love this place!
