First time there. Had a group of 6. Waitress was very helpful and not at all pushy. We spent more time than a normal group but did tip extra. The food was delicious as well.

A unique southern comfort restaurant serving some unique options family style. Menu changes daily with a few staples. Open Thursday thru Sunday 5 to 8pm and 11 til 2pm on Sundays. Dessert always included in meal options. Theme atmosphere and outside patio dining as well, weather permitting.

We were seated right away. People came in after us, they received their food, and left before we even got our food. We waited over an hour for our food.

Had the filet medallions, they were delicious and the sides were great. Had a large doggie bag to take home.

It took 45 minutes to ever get our food. I ordered a half rack of ribs and when I got them they were burned, black in the bottom. Took a bite and they were so badly burnt I couldn’t eat them. The side of potatoes were roasted sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. The sweet potatoes were burnt. They brought out more ribs and they weren’t cooked all the way and had no flavor. I boxed them up to cook more at home. The mini dessert was so dry, you couldn’t eat it.

We had a delicious meal this evening. Started out with the spinach dip and chips as an appetizer. I had pork chops (one of my favorites) and my husband had orange chicken. Everything was fresh, hot, and yummy. We had great service, our waitress kept our glasses full.

Heard a lot about this place and finally decided to try it one night with my gf. We were both very impressed with the everything about this place. The atmosphere was old southern with a little twist. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new hidden gem of a restaurant.

The service was great. The staff is very down to earth and social. We took our dog and they gave her her own dish of food. From the outside passing by it doesnt look like much but the wild onion well surpassed out expectations.

The food was great! Service was excellent.
I had the Ny strip steak and it was cooked to perfection. We will be back.

Y’all come! The Wild Onion continues to delight us each time we visit, (which is becoming more frequently!). This modest location is packed with tasty goodness and should not be missed! The dining room feels familiar and welcoming, the staff is genuinely friendly and the food…well, words can’t adequately describe how delicious each main course and side tastes. Everything is seasoned just right and reminds me of suppers at my grandparents NC homes “back in the day”. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and variety. Please add this sweet spot to your options. You’ll be glad you did!

This place honestly doesn’t even deserve one star… I cannot believe they’re even in business. I tried them for the first time today and will not be back. When I first got there my family and I had to stand and wait to be seated for at least 10 minutes we felt just invisible. Then waited another 30-40 minutes for our food which wasn’t even edible!! The bread was so bad I spit it out and thought I was gonna puke. How can you possibly mess up bread!!! We decided to bring the meat back home for our family dog and I kid you not he wouldn’t even eat any of it! I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy

I would absolutely suggest trying this place. It has family-style buffet for sides, and a wide variety of sides for a given day. May not be the healthiest, but all of the fried offerings are exceptional. I would also suggest any ribeye. The atmosphere is great. It can suffer in service if they are packed.

My husband and I eat take out from The Wild Onion at least every other week for a while now, we have loved every single item we've tried!
The pickle burger and mashed potatoes were fire tonight!
I do have a complaint though, I always do pickup as it's normally pretty full inside. Tonight however there were cars parked in the drive thru, so I had to park and go in. When I asked why and said I wouldn't have ordered if I had known the drive thru was closed, they said someone parked there and apologized. The closest table started laughing. Another lady walked to the window and stood looking in before walking around and coming in. As I was getting in my car, the folks at the table closest to the register walked out and went to those cars and moved them to the back parking lot. It was rude of them to park there but I also feel the staff, who could clearly see the cars, should have asked around and asked the owners to move their cars so the drive thru could remain open.
Other than that, keep up the great work and keep cooking that delicious food.
