The service was great. The staff is very down to earth and social. We took our dog and they gave her her own dish of food. From the outside passing by it doesnt look like much but the wild onion well surpassed out expectations.
Y’all come! The Wild Onion continues to delight us each time we visit, (which is becoming more frequently!). This modest location is packed with tasty goodness and should not be missed! The dining room feels familiar and welcoming, the staff is genuinely friendly and the food…well, words can’t adequately describe how delicious each main course and side tastes. Everything is seasoned just right and reminds me of suppers at my grandparents NC homes “back in the day”....
I would absolutely suggest trying this place. It has family-style buffet for sides, and a wide variety of sides for a given day. May not be the healthiest, but all of the fried offerings are exceptional. I would also suggest any ribeye. The atmosphere is great. It can suffer in service if they are packed.
