Homestead is such a great breakfast spot! We have gone at least half a dozen times, and it's totally worth the trip from Greensboro! The Monroeton Monster is a breakfast big enough to share, and all the seasonal options are delicious! Ingredients are locally sourced, and this is an awesome local business to support. Enjoyed a lovely lunch here while in the area for a wedding. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. We liked the fried chicken sandwich, brisket sandwich, and BLT. The potato salad was also very good. We also enjoyed perusing their local market section and took home a homemade chocolate trifle, which made a delicious dessert for later. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for yummy food and friendly folks :)
Headstead Kitchen was a locally owned breakfast and lunch restaurant. We got the fried chicken sandwich and a side house salad. The chicken sandwich was very good and the salad had a lot of vegetables in it. The meal was great for the price. The owner walked around and spoke to all the customers. It was a great experience.
