Review is neutral rating because this is the first I’ve experienced this…plus I should’ve stayed home and cooked but hey! I chose convenience. Lol

Usually good food and exceptional service, but recently I ate there an experienced mold on my sweet potato. Attached are the images.
(The young fella who answered the phone didn’t transfer me to speak with the manager to make them aware so in case it didn’t reach them, I decided to post my experience.)

Always good food and great service

Mayflower is always a great place to eat.

Ordered takeout at lunch time for evening meal. The order was 1 each large salt and pepper catfish and small salt and pepper catfish with a sweet potato on both. I also ordered a single sweet potato on the side. The meal was approx.$27. I did not receive the large catfish dinner but 2 small ones and no single sweet potato. The brown sugar opened in the paper bag with the cole slaw and tartar sauce and was everywhere. When I called back, of course I was offered to come back to get a piece of fish and potato. I declined but told the person on the phone that in the future I will check my order PRIOR to leaving. It is frustrating to pay this for dinner plus tip, which I did only to have to get food delivered for the person that didn't get fish or potato. THIS IS DISAPPOINTING AND UNACCEPTABLE! I don't like being cheated or taken advantage of. This is not the first time . I will be less trusting and more vigilant. It was NOT busy at Take Out.

The shrimp,trout and baked potato were delicious. But the service was a ?. Had to ask for a refill on water. Had to ask for extra napkins. The waitress seemed to have a bad attitude. Not sure what her deal was. Maybe she needs to find another occupation. Hopefully she was just having a bad day.

Absolutely RIDICULOUS. The bug was alive in my salad. 0/10

Salads looked like the thing to get. I got the Flounder and chicken pops. Flounder was ok and the chicken was actually pretty good. Service was phenomenal even with them being extremely busy.

I would say if you have a craving for something sweet go get their cake. We got the strawberry shortcake to go and it might be the best cake I’ve ever had.
The cake is the only thing I would go back there for, not the food.
Service was good, the waitress was super sweet.
