Beautiful restaurant inside and out, but unfortunately our experience with the food was not the best. The queso was thick and almost gritty in texture, and the taste was a bit off as well. The burrito California was okay, nothing spectacular. The waiter was attentive, and the food came out quickly. It’s a shame that the food was underwhelming because we live close by and would be regular customers. Very reasonable prices. May give it one more shot eventually.

Lately it seems like they have been hit or miss on their food or service. Some servers are great and some are mediocre. The food is usually good but lately it hasn't been coming out with the quality that it used to. We usually go once a week and I'm not a picky person at all but i have had to be way more specific on how i want things cooked and i have also had to have them re cook a few things which is something i hate to do. Being a part of a group of restaurants that we have enjoyed for many many years, we went to Monterey with high expectations.

Granted it was midday when we went so that may have had some impact on the quality of the food and service, but it was the most disappointing of all the restaurants of this group.
