Fajitas were excellent. We had the beef, chicken, and shrimp combo and it was prepared just as we like it, plenty of rice and not much refried beans, very little cheese, It's a small modest place but excellent food. Happy we found it.
This is a hidden gem in Roanoke Rapids. We love Don Juan too, but the quality and authenticity of the food here knocks it out of the park for the same price - don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior! Everything we ordered was perfectly flavorful and well presented with generous portions. The meat fell off the bone in the caldo de res (beef soup). I got off the highway in search for authentic tacos.....When I tell you, Baby.......these tacos are delicious.. somebody's Abuela is back there making these tortillas for sure...I couldn't even leave the parking spot.. I like to go where my Mexican brothers and sisters go to eat... and they did not miss... perfection. Bring cash.
