We stopped here for a late lunch on our way to OBX. Don’t let the simple exterior stop you from entering! Our traditional Southern meals were excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. Pruddie was a delight to talk to. Highly recommend the fried chicken, coleslaw, squash and onions. We’ll have to return when collards with hot pepper vinegar are on the menu.

Lunch break stop right off 64 heading back to Raleigh from the beach. Ordered 2 bbq plates and tried several different sides - squash & onions, mac & cheese, cole slaw, sweet potato fries. All delicious & generous portions with a few hush puppies that were buttery & fluffy. Homemade hot pepper vinegar made this eastern bbq memorable! Perfect spot for a southern comfort meal.

My friend and I were looking for a sit down local mom and pop place to eat breakfast on our travels. Heading west on 64 I searched in google maps and Ruth's Kitchen came up. It wasn't far off from 64 . It was just fantastic.!!!!highly recommend. And 99.5. health inspection grade!!!. I've worked in restaurants for years with a grade like that you know there is a lot of love and pride at Ruths.. Purddie was so great. Check it out. I'll be back definitely.
