I don't know about their food because I came all the way there, because it clearly says open online, and hey thier open sign is on too, but guess what the doors are locked, so I don't want to even try the food, because If you can't be open when your supposed to and at least turn your open sign off, so I don't have to carry my 1 year old baby all the way up the stairs to find the door locked, then i really don't want to try the food!!! Just slack!! The problem is I'm probably just giving an angry review, but this is not even a small issue if you say your open, it's not hard to be open, and if you're closed NO PROBLEM AT LEAST TURN YOUR OPEN SIGN OFF, issue solved, that way you don't have family's carrying their kids all the way up the stairs to find you're door locked!!! Thanks for nothing!!!

This place was a huge disappointment. One person had flounder and said it was good the rest was not! The server was horrible. It is very rare for me to leave a bad review because stuff happens but everything about this lunch was horrible! Burnt hush puppies, roll for sandwich was stale, server put food at end of table and told to pass everything down (didn't ask) just to name a few things! Not one nice thing nice said until tip time. Treated like we were a complete nuisance.

Received terrible service in September and again first week of December by the same hostess/waitress. Can’t imagine how she is still employed there. Will not be back. Received excellent service and delicious food right down the street at the dive bar.

This entire experience from the beginning was inappropriate: customer service answering phone clearly demonstrated poor communication in customer service and rude. While ordering food, was rushed through order process and didn’t seem to want to accommodate needs when asked for substitutions. Amount of condiments for food provided were not sufficient enough for the amount of food per order, then over charged for extras. Ordered seafood platter, requested scallops substituted for oysters which seem to not please waiter (manager come to find out when later called back); opened box to look at food and sampled 1 shrimp at counter!! Upon returning to residence, order was upsetting, fish not completely done on inside, only two shrimp inside entire box (overcooked and rubbery), several scallops in order with almost all breading falling off which in turn were also overcooked, hard and rubbery. The hush puppies were burnt. Food was barely warm when picked up at bar. Then to mention there was an 8% gratuity on a takeout order we were charged without our permission and no advisement. Called back to restaurant to speak with manager, who in turn was extremely rude, tried to accuse us of eating shrimp at the bar while waiting on our food (completely untrue), tried to explain situation, immediately started advising us “not giving a refund of any kind and NO money back and wasn’t going to do anything about it”, NEVER asked for refund .Finally chose to disconnect call with manager. This is certain to explain the probability of why rating is 3.9. Will be contacting Better Business Bureau to advise and hopefully prevent other fine patrons from receiving this same type of deplorable experience. The SERVICE AND FOOD WERE MUCH LESS THAN DESIRABLE, HORRIBLE!! Mostly will not return any time in the near future. Owner should be made aware of how this business is being managed overall and quality of food production. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

We loved this water side grill! Tuna bites were fantastic! We enjoyed the burger. We enjoyed sitting outside at the picnic table.

The bartender had an attitude from the moment we sat down at the bar. A mix-up of a drink order made the rest of the experience worse with comments she continued to make with every request we had. Food was good except one person in our party got her meal 10 minutes before the rest of us. I believe the bartender thought we were tourists(not that it should matter)but she was wrong as we are locals which made her behavior very problematic for your restaurant.

Well, the server was a great gal! But that was all that was great. The pulled pork sandwich was 2 slices of meat (brisket, maybe?) and very dry. The club sandwich was ok but not a lot of love put into it. The chocolate cake as delicious but for $25 it was not worth it. Very disappointed.Parking: Ok

This might have been the biggest - and maybe the best - flounder sandwich I've ever had. I think I had to eat a third of it before I even found the sandwich part. Highly recommend the next time anyone is anywhere close to Rodanthe, North Carolina.

We came on a very windy evening Thurs. Nov 9 with our dog and wanted to eat on the porch outside. The owner/ mgr accommodated us and warned that we should use Togo containers for certain menu items because certain items will blow away. We ordered accordingly so nothing would blow away. We enjoyed our food, conversation with the mgr and other guests. The hostess, the managers daughter, has a bit of attitude, lol. This was ok, I've been there. Enjoyed watching the kiters and the sunset. Other guests joined us outside and we enjoyed some great conversation. Not a real busy night for them and it couldn't have been nicer. Good beer and wine too!

First, they need to invest in acoustical tiles for the ceiling. The locals at the bar tend to have their conversations to where everyone in and outside the restaurant can hear them. We had the Oyser PoBoy and Crab Cake sandwich, not bad. Waitress was attentive and kind.

Food was average, service very poor, the most miserable bartender with an attitude. Sat at the bar on a rainy Saturday at 5:30. Not very busy and did not feel welcome. Definitely not coming back.

I wasn't aware that there would an 18% charge for calling in my take-out order. $73 for 1lb of steamed shrimp, 2 sides and a small Ceasar salad. Oh yea, 1 draft beer. Seems a little high to go pick up your own food.

Food was very good. Specialty Cocktails were basically just juice. No alcohol at all. Save your money—if you want a drink get wine or a beer.
