This is one of those restaurants that is easy to love. The chef is amazing. She crafts a varied and adventurous menu. I can truly say I have yet to have a meal I didn't enjoy and wasn't worth the wait. And you will wait. The chef frequently finds herself juggling all the balls at once. My husband and I recently celebrated our 19th anniversary at Depot Southern Bistro, and it was truly a hidden gem in Downtown Roxboro. The owner, Michelle is also the chef, creates delicious dishes that showcase incredible flavor and care — you can tell it’s a labor of love.
While the service isn’t lightning-fast, it’s definitely worth the wait, as every bite is a testament to quality and passion. Highly recommend — we’ll be returning soon!

Some reviews here mention complaints of pricing, but I’d MUCH rather give $55 to this local business, than give $5.00 to McDonald’s for a super-processed mcChicken.
