El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant

This place is rather new to Roxboro, NC and is fast becoming the town favorite. Having dined there on several occasions I can attest to the quality of food, the variety of menu options, service and atmosphere. There is no place I'd rather go for Mexican food! El Ranchero's is a glimmering gem in a small town setting. Service is great, the staff very cordial and helpful. If you decide to go, better get there early as the crowd grows large during dinnertime. You won't regret this choice!

Now that the hubs lives here, he was on the hunt for a new favorite Mexican restaurant and so far, El Ranchero is it. It's a simple.dining layout I side and fairly open with mostly tables and both along the outside walls. The food we've had has been really good. Chimichanga, quesadillo, fajita, carnitas etc. The green sauce on the carnitas was the best we've had in a while. I love that they put cheese dip over the chimichanga. I did get a cheese quesadillo and there was just a little bit of cheese and not out to the edges. I've resorted to asking for a side of shredded cheese at any Mexican place I go just incase that happens. They have a great pick 2 items for $11.99. Big bang for your buck. They are usually busy, which is a good sign, but we've never had to wait too long for a table.

Well first strike was charging me a $1 for someone to prepare my to go order.. so be ware I wonder what they charge for dish washer and the person that brings ur plate to your table.. Second strike My one meal costed me 24.89 for Texas ACP and elope(corn) but where's the cheese, so dry.. Ppl have spoke so highly I wanted to try, very disappointed... I normally don't do this, but the charge for $1 to pack my to go meal started .. sorry im not impressed, Ill go back to restaurant that I'm familiar with.. wasted meal.. $25:for one person meal... If you going to be high priced, then don't be skeepy,make the dish to perfection... I'll pay top dollar for good Qauilty food...Must do better......

Have a lunch menu 7 days a week. So many choices and so very good. The service was impeccable, they were so nice, worked as a team. When I go back to Roxboro, I'll eat there.

This is our new favorite place to come and eat Mexican food. We always have the fajitas ranchera with jalapeños and pineapple. Perfect balance of sweet and heat. The service is amazing, they are so attentive. By far the best service of any place we have tried in the area.
