The absolute worst Mexican food I have ever had in my life! How do you mess up Texas ACP? With half undercooked rice, unpeeled and overcooked shrimp, watery cheese, and chunks of beef fat with not a bit of meat. The chicken was cooked okay but none of the meal was seasoned whatsoever.

I live in Dallas, TX., a founding place for Tex-Mex. I have traveled regularly to various parts of Mexico for more than 30 years. When I travel to RDU on my way to visit family in southern Virginia, I stop at La Cocina in Roxboro. It ranks among the best in that part of the country.

I eat here often and it has never disappointed, Mauricio is our waiter every time and he goes above and beyond to make us feel like family and interacts with all of our kids giving high fives and fist bumps and engages in conversation with the kids. Food is always delicious, authentic and fast. I’d leave 6 stars if I could.

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!
So bad I don't give this place even one star.
Never tried this place before so wife and I decided to try it along with our son and three young grandchildren. That was a mistake.
Wife and I had fajitas - poorly cooked with burned peppers, dry chicken and beef and little flavor
Son had shrimp dish - undercooked shrimp, burned pepper no flavor
Kids had burrito, salad and tacos. Same story
Paid $ 140 for all this, took home the leftovers to feed my dog. Dog ate most of it.
Got up the next morning with everyone, including the dog, suffering from nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
So, before you visit this place, be prepared for sketchy food and high prices.

Fast, hot, edible, inexpensive but not good. We got a combo but needn't have bothered. The same unseasoned beef and cheese was in everything. The enchilada sauce was thin with. O depth ot flavor. The chips appear to have been bought in bulk and simply heated before being brought to the table. For me, this was a one and done.

Usual Mexican fare you'd find anywhere. Bathroom is gross, replace that stall wall.

When I first moved to this town I ate at another Mexican restaurant and was so disappointed and my husband recommended here and I’ve been hooked ever since ❤️ 4 years and counting…Keep up the Great Everything 😋💕
5 stars! Good prices on food and drinks, laid back atmosphere, and attentive, efficient staff. All in all great experience, highly recommend.
