Small area of improvement: Mac and cheese is not the best. Plenty of better sides to choose from like sweet potato fries and okra.

I really liked the atmosphere. Dined on a Tuesday evening surely after they opened, so it was on the slower side. The waitress was very attentive, but not overwhelming. I had the fried pickles appetizer, grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and the honey bun cake for dessert. Appetizer and dessert was shared. The portion size for the appetizer was good for the price. Same with the chicken sandwich and fries. Plenty of food for the money. The grilled chicken sandwich was the best of these 3 items. Overall each could have used a little more seasoning. Pretty sure the fries didn't have any seasoning, not even salt. The honey bun cake was OK. It hit the sweet notes, but underwhelming overall.
I would definitely give it another try to check their other options.

We heard about this place after we moved to the area and decided to give it a shot. Baby...BABY are we glad we did! Phenomenal. Phenomenal food and service. We ordered the ribeye steak. One medium and one medium well with baked potatoes. These steaks were so good we danced in our seats! We had to call our server over and asked her to PLEASE tell the cook thank you and how perfect he prepared our steaks. When we go out for steaks, this is what we want. Thank you all and we WILL be back.

If I could, I’d give this place a 3.5. The service was great — I never even had to ask for a refill, which was nice. Most of the food was good. The biscuits were really tasty and the sweet tea was perfect.
I got the fried shrimp and it was solid. For sides, I went with mac & cheese and corn. The mac & cheese wasn’t good at all — kind of dry and not much flavor. The corn was fine, but it was sweet corn, and I would’ve liked something more savory.
All in all, I’d come back again.

We finally made it to the tavern! The biscuits were delicious and brought to the table as soon as you sat down! The food was delicious! Our party got fried chicken salad, burgers, and baked chicken! All super tasty! Service, prices, and food were excellent, can’t wait to try more!

Went to tavern for lunch today and it was such a pleasant surprise.!! Hubby got cheeseburger with the works and said it was one of the best he's ever had and I had the BBQ which was quite tasty! Sides were good, service good and the ambiance was great - playing good music and such a nice clean, well-decorated facility. Another restaurant in Roxboro I can't wait to return to.

Well let me start with this. I had the most unpleasant time here with the food and service. My wife and I drove an hour to come here. The country fried steak was not even available, but it’s called Cube Steak. Not Country Fried Steak.NOT THE SAME THING. The waitress got our order wrong. The food came out cold. Needless to say we will not return. What is sad, we came right after they opened up. Our server barely came by our table and checked on us.

Our family went to Trackside for my daughter's birthday on July 2. It was our first visit under this company name. We had been there at this physical address over 100 times. The food was very good, from the biscuits they brought out initially to the spinach dip & deviled eggs appetizers to the grilled pork chops, steaks, chicken tenders, etc. The best thing was the wait service we received from Katalina for our party of 7. It was probably the best we ever received there. We'll be back & will ask for one of Katalina's tables.
