Stopped going here years ago because their prices were so high compared to everyone else. Tried it again today and looked at the menu online (latest was 3 years ago) and placed a phone order. Total should have been around $20.When I got there and went to pay, my total was $50! I checked the menu and yup most items have more than doubled! Look at some of these prices!I have to say the food is really good or I would have given a 1 star. But look at these price hikes in 3 years! Big Oak has always been way over priced compared to similar establishments. I'm not heading back unless I'm really desperate for food nearby.

Cute little drive in diner! The food is fantastic. I highly recommend the shrimp burgers. They are full of lightly breaded shrimp. I get them all the way with ketchup and slaw.
Me and my wife got cheese burgers and onion rings just ok but pricey.I noticed on menu hotdogs are about 5 dollars each and the Brunswick stew was $28.00 quart thats highest price I have ever seen anywhere for stew. I think we will continue going to El’s drive in much more for your buck.

Nice little place on the side of the road. Order at the window, take it to go, or eat in the car. No tables or chairs on site. Food is good, prices are a little high, but it's typical for the area.

This was my first visit to the renowned Big OAK. Sorely disappointed!! I was unable to eat the $32.00 oyster plate I ordered. I sincerely think they were frozen- heavily breaded and smelled funny. I figured I would not get a refund from such a small place. My husband loved the barbecue. Again BIG LET DOW

A must visit if you are in the area. It has a 50s drive up look to it. I got a bbq sandwich but from all the other reviews I should have gotten the shrimp burger.

Absolutely the best shrimp burger in the area. We make the 6-hour drive, especially for a shrimp burger. Highly recommend them. In 20 years of experience at the Drive Inn, it's always excellent food and service.

I have been coming here since 2009 and the food has been delicious every time. There isn't anything on the menu that doesn't taste good, but I am especially fond of their shrimp burger and crab cake sandwich.Parking: There is plenty of free parking spaces.
