Out of business. I've gone there every single day and it's closed up.
It says on Google its own but its not.......So I will eventually update this place review, but had to put something to be able to review. We were here for the pirate festival in November. We chose this location to eat. However they close for the winter on Oct 31st so have to wait till spring. Hours and dates need to be updated on Google.
Along with top notch seafood ... best key lime pie I've ever had ... if you know you know to be honest 😎🍻
We had the best experience with Willis seafood. The Aunt and Nephew running the place are absolutely wonderful and true definition of southern hospitality. The crab legs and shrimp we purchased were steamed and seasoned to perfection! If you’re looking for a place to get fresh seafood in Emerald Isle, don’t hesitate!
Fresh seafood and super friendly staff.
Vesta is an angel! She will hook you up with the freshest catch of the day.
I visited Willis Seafood Market on Salter Path at Indian Beach, NC to get soft shell crabs. They had them fully cleaned and I purchased them as well as a pound of back fin crabmeat and half a pound of scallops . I sautéd the crab cakes and soft shells this evening and they were great! The prices seemed a bit high ( prices seem to be high everywhere these days) but the quality and freshness of the items I purchased were excellent . The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely return because preparing the food from Willis Seafood Market is a nice alternative to eating out .
So friendly and nice selection of fresh fish and seafood
We bought fresh shrimp, mahi, tuna and some lemon. It was perfect for grilling. The employees were knowledgeable, friendly and the market was clean and didn't smell.
We go to Willis seafood every time we come to the island. The seafood is consistently fresh and delicious. Their tartar sauce is amazing!!
Restaurantji Recommends
I recommend Willis Seafood market Excellent Shrimp, Red Snapper, and Grouper. The fish is fresh and the Key Lime Pie is not too sweet
Great, friendly service at this seafood market! We picked up scallops to cook at home and had them boil some shrimp for us. The prices were comparable to a restaurant without the wait. We have a toddler so dining out is tough. Highly recommend this market and don’t forget the KEY LIME PIE! If you’re not, sure you can finish it in a week, I’m here to tell you thank you can do it!
Shrimp was overcooked
Snapper and scallops were delicious and reasonably priced!
Vesta and the staff at Willis saved our annual shrimp creole dinner for 40 people. We travel to Emerald Isle every year. My aunt is usually Top Chef for our big mid-week shrimp creole meal. She was unable to join this year, so my cousin and I volunteered to sub in. We were feeling very proud of ourselves. We delegated pre-chopping the vegetables, peeled all the tomatoes, and had all of our spices ready to go. When it was time to start cooking, we realized… NO SHRIMP! We’d forgotten to run out for shrimp. I made a mad drive to Willis about 15min before closing. When I ordered 14lb of peeled and deveined shrimp, they were incredibly kind and found it exactly! They really enjoyed the adventure and story of the whole day. Instead of being on the bad end of an eternal family shrimp creole joke, I know have a fond, funny memory of the night my cousin and I cooked shrimp creole for forty. Thanks Willis!
