Saxapahaw General Store

This time around, the service was friendly. Different staff. Went there around 7 in the evening with friends. Ordered the same thing, Max Burger and it has been consistently good. Nice village store atmosphere.

The tempeh reuben changed my life

The place is in a nice little strip-mall esque area. Rustic, charming, cozy. My wife and I went because some friends had given us the low-down on the food scene here. My wife got the chorizo sausage gravy and biscuits. This is a heavy dish bursting with flavor. The biscuit was really a great texture and very tasty; the perfect compliment to the chorizo sausage gravy. I got a special, duck bacon on sourdough toast in a mushroom and onion cream sauce atop two over-easies. Holy smokes was this thing amazing! Seemed a very French-inspired dish (like authentically French). The flavor was truly incredible and honestly slightly unbelievable from what I figured would be just a decent (really good at best) place for breakfast. Once I saw this was a menu item however, I knew we were in for something special. You don’t make a dish like that without knowing a thing or two.

It’s rare in my experience when a place exceeds expectations, and I’m glad to say that this place certainly did for me. So many thanks to the chef and staff for that.

I wasn’t aware this place even existed but one stop for breakfast & now I’m obsessed. Food is ahhhhmazing. We got the breakfast burrito, cheddar grits, & home fries. ALL are bomb. 👏🏼👏🏼 The staff were beyond friendly & the store is filled with the cutest things with the coolest atmosphere. 100% recommend! Cant wait to return for lunch! I usually take a photo before we eat, but I was starving & it was too good to stop! 🙃👏🏼

Great little shop with some incredible menu items for freshly made food. The breakfast burrito was large and great. The only thing that I would change is removing the salsa from the burrito and serving it on the side. The salsa made the burrito pretty soggy.

Fantastic food and really nice people who work here. I love the quality of food and service coming from here. It also helps having a beautiful area around to talk a walk or take the kids to the park nearby

A hidden gem. 5 star food, great alcohol selection, local coffee, and more. Do yourself a favor and just go visit. I couldn't believe how good the food was.. On a Sunday evening, no less!

Gains a star for the kind staff. Hour wait for 2 sandwiches the size of a wallet. With tip over 30 dollars. Nice tourist scam.

Such a cute store with a great vibe. There are so many vegan and gluten free options. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, I just had to go there everyday I was visiting Saxapahaw.
