Third time here..second time I ended up just sitting in the car. Wait staff is nice and it is eclectic. The wait is always long. 40 minutes later I got a turkey sandwich. The bread fell apart ( management said it always does)..the turkey was slimy and fell off the remaining bread. The bacon on my husband's sandwich was raw. For my daughter cream cheese and sprouts shouldnt cost 12.00. I really don't post bad reviews but should have resisted coming back here.

What a cool find! Feels like Fort Collins, CO in the middle of rural NC. Amazing gluten free options, really cool and unique products, and a wide range of delicious goodies, fresh baked goods and great food. 10/10!

As Colorado tourists, we may have stood out a little but nobody called us on it.
Just as the name suggests, The General Store has a wide range of not-name-brands which probably means they taste better, are largely local, are responsible and are cool!
They also have an integrated Diner with many choices for b,l, & d. We tried breakfast and we're impressed (coffee was wonderful).
We are not in that neck-of-the-(deep) woods often, but would return here if we are.

The food is good. They are frequently out of menu items and will run a reduced item event menu when something is happening at the ballroom. The food takes a while to be ready and it will take longer than they say it will.

So slow. Good food. modest amount.

Best sandwiches you can find. We come here from Durham just for the food. However, the overall atmosphere is perfect as it sits on the river as well. A must try, even if there isn’t an event tbh. Thank you! (P.S. pls put the short rib sandwhich on the regular menu…again, please!)

Food is good! I didn’t mind the crowds. They have good hotdogs!

It’s a busy place and wait times for food can be long but they have an eclectic selection of beers, sodas, and local farm products. Friendly staff and wide variety good food.

We ordered at 5:41 pm. Our food arrived at 7:06 pm, after we complained. My companion'¹s bison burger was refrigerator cold with a slab of similarly cold cheese on top. They took it back and stuck it in the microwave, but the burger was still cold in the middle. We've come here many times, but this is the last.

Stopped inside the store to get gas and grab a drink. Ice machine growing mold, went to the back cooler to grab a soda mold on the racks. Told the lady at the register acted like she didn't care. Try to get a piece of cake out of the cabinet said excuse me to the girl three times No response. Horrible customer service and very dirty establishment.

The outdoor seating is dog friendly with decent shade for most of the seats. I like the duck confit, the salad version feels like a good deal but the potatoes are good too.

It's fun, has a bunch of stuff and the foods great. Amazing selection and plenty of awesome beers. Great place
