Got the fish and chips, fish was amazing and so airy and crispy, the fries were so good but wait was a bit long. Great view from balcony and view of river!

This was our fifth time to The Eddy Pub. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The hostess was snotty (per usual) and couldn’t believe that we didn’t have reservations when we walked in at 5 PM. We thought there may be availability since it was early. We sat at the bar and the interesting thing was we counted five tables that were vacant the whole time we were there (which was just 30 minutes.) I understand the need for reservations and we know to make them when there’s a show. We dislike this place so much that we agreed earlier this week that we wouldn’t go there before The Mountain Goats played. However, once we got to the shopping center, we decided we were hungry and thought we would try The Eddy one more time. The hostess could’ve said something like, “I’ve got some tables that are reserved , I could fit you in if you could finish by 530. Does that work?” We would’ve been happy to do that. Instead we got, “you can see if there is room at the bar” (while rolling her eyes.) What really disappoints me about this place is that it is the only restaurant to go to before a show at the Ballroom that has table service. My husband and I like to get to the venue early so we can get a parking space and then grab a bite. He is vegetarian, and the pickings are slim. The fish and chips were just as bad as they were the time before. Too much breading with limp fries. Tonight we paid $65 including tip for greasy fish and chips, bland penne pasta and one beer and we agreed we would never go back. It’s the General Store from now on.

We sat on the deck to view a beautiful sunset and the Haw River. The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced.

Evan was such a wonderful server. We really enjoyed the drinks and food too. We ordered the flatbread and the pretzel and several drinks. I highly recommend the Saxy Sunset. Make sure to check this spot out. They had great desserts I really wanted to try!!

I have been several times over the years but now they have 1.5 hr table times. We felt very rushed even though we sat at the bar if you’re not ordering another drink right away it felt like we were being pushed out the door. Food was good, cat fish plate. We decided to grab a beer at the gas station and sit outside to talk and visit. Menu is limited I understand they can’t sell liquor. So many other nice places in the area……probably not going back. Too bad I used to enjoy this place.

EDIT: I have not dined there since the new chef took over and at this time I have no plans to. The review is as it was when Chef Isaiah Allen helmed the bridge. This is the only place in Saxapahaw that I will dine out at. Most importantly to me on an ethical level, they care about their employees. That shows in the care of service and in the love of the food that comes to my table.I very much enjoy going in here and having a wonderful meal, something that is good for me, in the company of an area that just to reminds me of a community gathering center. There is no restaurant or establishment in my opinion in the area that does a better job.Not that I know how these things work but it is my wish that one day Chef Isaiah receives a Michelin star for what he does at this place. Hands down the best!

We've eaten here a few times, and it is always good. The portion size doesn't justify the price, but I'm sure we'll go back.

Solid entrees, really good appetizers and even better ambience. Loved how they combined indoor plants with the overall industrial vibe of the Saxapahaw River Mill complex.

Our first experience here was an absolute win. The food was awesome and so were the beers. We got one chicken sandwich and it was so delicious we actually ordered another right after finishing it. The views are spectacular and the staff was very kind. Our server Gabriel was pleasant and attentive. Definitely will be coming back especially for the sunset in the warmer months!

This is a beautiful restaurant in a great location. I was so excited about it but left incredibly disappointed. I never write bad reviews but I am writing this one to let you know to choose somewhere else for dinner. The food here was awful and is overpriced for the quality you get. The coffee shop below is a great option. Go there instead.
