The owner is also the mayor. There are no other drinking establishments in the town and many people say that it's a monopoly because he controls the zoning board as well and there's just something that I don't trust about him.. I can't support this business.

Great spot to unwind and think about all the pottery that you just bought. The owner, David is super friendly. He has a nice selection of wine and beer and will let you bring in food from the Mexican place down the street.

This is probably the third time I've stopped at the general since it opened a couple years ago. It's nice to have a laid-back place right here in seagrove to come enjoy a cold brew or glass of wine. Mostly older folks in here tonight. We're usually not much for crowds so didn't stay long, maybe 30 minutes. They have a large selection of craft beer and wine. There was a food truck on site tonight as well.

The General wine and Brew is an excellent way to wind down after visiting pottery shops in the "Pottery Capital" -SeagroveIt's got a great wine and craft beer selection. The owners Dave and Alexa take great care in selecting the best to serve to their customers. They usually will have some small snacks. And often on weekends there's a food truck!Last night we attended their "music in the grove" event. It was a terrific time with several bands playing, and several food trucks.
Kid-friendliness: This place is not like a regular "bar". It's a family friendly atmosphere.

What an awesome place to stop and relax or recharge. I've been driving past it for 2 years and finally stopped. The wine selection was fantastic. The host was very knowledgeable. Some complimentary nuts and pretzels were the perfect touch while catching a couple rounds of golf on the TV. Friendly crowd gathered, both local and tourists. We'll stop again
