The restaurant is beautiful, the seating is comfortable. I’ve had to the calm chowder, the oyster basket and the flounder burger. Everything has been wonderful so far.

My experience at Paddy’s was not very good. The service was good, the atmosphere was good, but as far as the food goes, it sucked. Like, really sucked

I don't think you find a steak and cheese sub with more meat at this price anywhere and it tastes great!
We were just passing through from the Cedar Island ferry, but I’m glad I found this place on Google Maps. Friendly service, fresh seafood with excellent preparation, and good value for the money. It fit the bill for what we needed perfectly

Paddy's has the potential to be better. Their waitstaff was very helpful and accommodating. Their menu offers a reasonable variety of dishes, although they lean toward fried foods. Judging from the nothing but 5 stars reviews, the locals are either abundantly satisfied with the menu or know the restaurant operators and don't want to offend them. If it's the former, Paddy's should stick to what they're doing because they're obviously satisfying the regulars. However, if they're not getting enough repeat customers they may want to be more adventurous with their dishes and the ingredients in them, and also focus more on presentation. I'm a good, but not great cook, but know I can make dishes that taste better than what I had at Paddy's, and it's probably because I use a variety of ingredients, rather than anything to do with skill. Also, based on their waterside location, I thought that there was a chance they might have a water view, but they don't. I don't know what's going on with the land between their restaurant and the water, but if a picture window or expansion of the restaurant ever becomes financially feasible it would make for a more special dining experience.

Fresh local seafood is as good you'll find anywhere Down East. Excellent service and newly renovated restaurant that's comfortable and relaxing.

We are embarrassed not to have been aware sooner of Paddy's featuring locally harvested seafood prepared and served in the traditional Down East North Carolina style. The staff is personable right down to explaining the latest on the 2024 June wildfires. Patty's represents what used to be. Check hours. They are busier and often full evenings and Sunday lunch.

If you're up this way, you have to try Paddy's. The flounder was probably the best flounder I've ever had.

We were very happy with our experience and food. Aside from the food being great, so was the iced tea.
